While Louis may be the most instantly recognizable name from his family, his relatives are no strangers to the spotlight.

His cousin Justin is indeed an actor and filmmaker and has appeared in the global blockbusters Mulholland Drive and American Psycho.

Meanwhile, Louis’ brother Marcel has presented a number of documentaries on Channel 4 as part of the broadcaster’s Unreported World series.

Marcel’s latest project is a documentary entitled The Playboy Bunny Murder, which examines the 1975 murder of 21-year-old Eve Stratford, a hostess at London’s Playboy Club.

The murder of Stratford, who was born in Germany, has never been solved and – along with two similar murders to which her death has been linked – is the subject of a new ITVX true crime series.

Marcel interviews Barbara Haigh for the two-part series, who worked with Eve as a Playboy Cocktail Bunny at the Playboy Club in London’s Mayfair and was photographed with her in the brand’s signature bunny outfit just three weeks before her throat was slit in a shocking act of cruelty.

Despite similarities in the brothers’ career choices, that’s where the comparisons end, according to Marcel, who described the pair as “like chalk and cheese.”

‘I’ll talk to Louis about how he works and we’ll compare some notes. But our styles are very different – Louis is very individual,’

‘Firstly, Louis can spend more time making his documentaries and I think they are more participatory – there is more Louis in them. I think mine are more straightforward current affairs films.’ Neville said in one Radio times job interview in 2017.

Nevertheless, Marcel clearly has a lot of appreciation for his brother’s work and respects the way in which his younger brother has managed to consistently captivate the audience.

‘Louis was a child prodigy when he started. He’s evolved now, but he’s stuck to this personality, just like Louis in real life: curious, but also tenacious, with a powerful damn detector.”

β€œAnd the thing about Louis that no one ever mentions is that he never makes pieces for the camera. He draws out all the interviewee’s meanings so you can understand what he’s thinking without actually saying it.

“That’s some great art… I consider him the talent of the family when it comes to documentaries.”

The Playboy Bunny Murder airs tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
