A high school counselor in southeastern Pennsylvania has been charged with allegedly assaulting a female student with encounters in her car, her home and the student’s own bedroom.
According to the district attorney, Bucks County high school counselor Kelly Ann Schutte, 35, was charged last week with three counts of institutional sexual assault, three counts of indecent assault on a person under 16 years old and one count of corruption. of minors.
According to court documents, the high school student in question was 14 years old at the time of the alleged crimes.
Court documents show the couple’s relationship began during a school trip in the fall of 2022, with Schutte sitting next to the minor on the bus.

Documents revealed details of the ongoing, intimate ordeal between Schutte and the student, which was reported to 911 by the student’s mother, who told authorities she learned her son had been inappropriately kissed and touched by his high school counselor.
The student subsequently admitted to having a romantic and sexual relationship with Schutte, which began at Schutte’s home.
Schutte is also said to have called the student at her office during school hours, resulting in missed lessons.
An affidavit further reveals that the duo’s inappropriate relationship continued even when classes were suspended for the summer.
The two kept in touch via apps such as Canvas and Snapchat.
Documents also revealed that the alleged sexual contact included taking place in Schutte’s car while it was parked outside a local supermarket, her home and even the student’s bedroom while his family was away.

The school in southeastern Pennsylvania was notified of the allegations in July of this year and immediately placed Schutte on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
The Pennridge School District released a statement last week revealing that Schutte has been placed on administrative leave.
The statement said the district has known of the allegations since July, prompting the decision to place the counselor on immediate administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
In response to the complaint against Schutte, the school says:
“While we refrain from making premature judgments about the actions of the staff member being prosecuted, it is critical to reiterate the district’s position against any inappropriate contact between a Pennridge School District employee and a student. Such behavior will NOT be tolerated.”
