Britney Spears RESPONDS to mom Lynne Spears’ denial that she sold her dolls and journals: ‘I don’t care anymore’

Britney Spears has taken to social media to respond to her mother Lynne Spears’ rebuttal over claims she threw away her daughter’s dolls and diaries, writing online that she “doesn’t care anymore.”

Earlier this week, insiders close to the 41-year-old pop star – who spoke out against bullying days ago – accused Lynne of auctioning off Britney’s doll collection and other items from her childhood.

Lynne clapped back with an Instagram post, writing, “I’m not sure who told you I got rid of your dolls and diaries, but I would never do that!”

The mother of three also shared photos of the collectibles to emphasize that she still has them.

She continued, “That would be cruel because I know how much they mean to you. They are also special to me because of the years we spent collecting them.’

Britney’s Instagram post included a clear memo to her mother.

The Toxic singer wrote: ‘Ps, Mom, I love you so much but there were 3 dolls in the closets when I went home 2 years ago…’

She added that it was “really weird that you would take them out and then put them back in…so messed up.”

Concluding her message, she noted, “No, I don’t want them. Save it all. I honestly don’t care anymore… honestly, I do.’

The statement to Lynn was casually included at the end of an anecdote about Taylor Swift.

The post included two side-by-side throwbacks of Britney and Taylor.

In the caption, Britney revealed that Taylor approached her through an intermediary and sang for her 20 years ago, leaving the older singer shocked by the newcomer’s talent.

The story was accompanied by the original backstage photo from 2003, plus a famous photo of her and Taylor at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.

Making it clear that she can’t reach the embattled pop star personally, Lynne asked Britney if she could return the previously mentioned items in her post about the trinkets.

She wrote: ‘Of course I still have your things and I’d be happy to send them to you if you want. Please let me know and know how much I love you!’

The post featured a carousel of images, including an old diary, a collection of vintage dolls and ornate china.

Lynne reportedly started selling her daughter’s clothes in 2018 at Connie’s Jewelry and Gifts in Kentwood, Louisiana, which is owned by the family of Britney’s childhood friend Cortney Brabham.

A Spears family insider claimed that Lynne had “easily made thousands of dollars in profits,” adding that Britney had “no idea” about it.

It comes as Britney’s former home in Kentwood, Louisiana was put on the market last week for $1.2 million.

It has been reported that a door from the family home that reads “Christina sucks” could fetch as much as $30,000 at auction.

In Britney’s best-selling memoir The Woman In Me, she talks about how angry she was when her mother Lynne cashed in on “the darkest times” in her life.

Britney has blasted Lynne for writing her own tell-all book, 2008’s Through the Storm, and said she “traded on” her name after her publicized breakdown in 2007.
