Taylor Swift’s dad called a ‘CHEATER’ for wearing a Chiefs lanyard with Travis Kelce despite being a HUGE Philadelphia Eagles fan: ‘Feeling a little traitorous’

There may be no clearer sign that Travis Kelce has won over Taylor Swift’s dad than the sight of him sporting a Kansas City Chiefs lanyard at her concert in Buenos Aires on Saturday night.

Scott Swift is a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, but clearly put that aside when he donned some Chiefs merchandise during the show in Argentina. It looks like he has a second team now, considering his daughter’s new-found romance.

But it confused a portion of the Eagles fanbase, given the rivalry between the two teams and the fact that the Swift family has made no secret of being Philly fans. Taylor herself has previously spoken openly about supporting the Eagles, but she has been to four Chiefs games this season to cheer on Travis.

And even the Swift fanbase was quick to joke that Travis and Scott would risk upsetting older Kelce brother Jason, who himself plays for the Eagles.

After seeing the photos of the two men circulating on social media, a fan jokingly shared a photo of a banner outside a house that read “welcome home imposter” with the caption: “Eagles to Scott Swift after wearing it Chiefs lanyard’.

Another said: Look, my man Scott Swift from Southeastern PA is feeling a little treacherous in that headband string after the Eagles lost to them in the superbowl less than a year ago.”

Most fans were eager to know what Jason Kelce thinks, with one commenting on X, “Jason will have a rant ready about this!”

Another said: “Oh Jason is going maaaaad,” while someone else suggested that the New Heights podcast the Kelce brothers host is going to be spicy this week: “Legit can’t wait for her Jason to question this on the podcast.”

Another fan noted that Scott’s show of solidarity is especially striking considering his Eagles team was defeated in the Super Bowl by Travis and the Chiefs earlier this year just months ago.

“The Chiefs took the Super Bowl and Taylor Swift from the Eagles. Philly big mad,” one fan wrote.

Another said: ‘Scott Swift must love this man, for clapping in the restaurant and now wearing a Chiefs lanyard when his team is all Eagles.’

Earlier this year, Taylor herself took time during one of her shows to clarify that a line called “Eagles” in her song Gold Rush is about the NFL team and not the band.

In the song from the album ‘Evermore’ she sings: ‘I see myself walking across your wooden floors, with my Eagles t-shirt hanging on the door’.

During her show in Philadelphia during this year’s Eras tour, Swift said, “I don’t know how big the debate was, but I saw the debate. I have a text that says, ‘With my Eagles t-shirt at the door.’

“I saw some people wondering if it was the band The Eagles or the team The Eagles, and I love the band The Eagles, but guys, come on. I’m from Philly. Of course it’s the team.’

Both Taylor and her father will be tested when Travis is back in NFL action on Nov. 20 when the Chiefs play the Eagles at Arrowhead Stadium.

But Travis and Jason’s mother Donna might be able to help.

When her sons met in the Super Bowl in February, she wore a half-and-half jersey to cheer them both on equally before the Chiefs defeated the Eagles 38-35.
