Britney Spears Reveals She Was the ORIGINAL Swiftie as She Shares Backstage Throwback to Taylor Swift from 20 YEARS AGO

Britney Spears revealed she was one of the original Swifties in a stunning Instagram post she uploaded last Saturday.

The Instagram update included Britney’s backstage throwback with Taylor Swift dating all the way back to 2003.

At the time, Britney was a globally recognized superstar, but Taylor was a 14-year-old singer who was completely unknown to the world.

It wasn’t until three years later that Taylor burst onto the scene with her single Tim McGraw, launching the career that has now reportedly made her a billionaire.

In her new Instagram caption, Britney revealed that Taylor approached her through an intermediary 20 years ago and managed to sing for her, leaving the older singer amazed at the young gun’s talent.

“This was a long time ago, but pretty cool… There was a knock on my door during my Oops Tour,” Britney wrote, setting the tone.

“My good friend at the time was my manager’s assistant who was trying to become a manager himself,” she explains.

“There was a knock and then he said, ‘I’ve got a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you.’ I thought of course!!!’

She continued, “He comes in and she’s singing a beautiful song with her guitar. I thought, wow, wow, she’s incredible!!!’

Britney deadpanned, “We took a picture and then she became the most iconic pop woman of our generation. Pretty cool that she’s playing stadiums, and I prefer her videos to movies. She’s gorgeous !!! Girl in love.’

Meanwhile, Britney has just released a bestselling memoir called The Woman In Me, in which she fires jabs at targets including her ex Justin Timberlake, her parents and her sister Jamie Lynn, whom she accused of being a ‘total b****’ have been at the age of 11.

Her latest Instagram post reflecting on her relationship with Taylor also included a postscript addressed to her mother Lynne.

In the pages of The Woman In Me, Britney accused her parents Jamie and Lynne of throwing away her childhood dolls and diaries.

She described her Madame Alexander dolls as particularly important to her, as one of the few luxuries of her financially strapped childhood.

Britney said her parents got rid of her “prized possessions” such as the dolls and diaries in 2019 when she had just undergone treatment for her mental health and was still in the grip of Jamie’s controversial conservatorship.

After being released from conservatorship in 2021, Britney furiously accused her mother of being the “mastermind” of the scheme.

Although their relations appear to have cooled since then, Britney still targeted Lynne in the memoir, saying Lynne was party to the dolls’ disposal.

“I’m not sure who told you I got rid of your dolls and diaries, but I would never do that!” Lynne replied on her Instagram page on Thursday.

“That would be cruel, because I know how much they mean to you. They are also special to me because of the years we spent collecting them. Of course I still have your stuff, and if you want, I’ll be happy to send it to you. Please let me know and know how much I love you!’

On Saturday, Britney gave a striking response to her mother’s plea in a postscript to the caption of her Taylor Swift post.

“Ps mom, I love you so much, but there were three dolls in the closets when I went home two years ago… kinda weird that you would take them out and then put them back in… like that confused,” Britney wrote. ‘No, I don’t want them. Save it all. I honestly don’t care anymore… honestly, I do.’
