Love Island’s Jack Fincham reveals his mother lured him to rehab while high on drugs: ‘Death was on the cards for me’
Jack Fincham has broken his silence about his secret stint in rehab after his drug addiction became too much.
The former Love Island star, who won the show in 2018 with Dani Dyer, became addicted to cocaine and diazepam pills after finding himself in the spotlight.
At one point, Jack, 31, was taking at least 30 diazepam pills a day before his mother tricked him while he was high and he ended up in rehab.
Speak with The sunJack admitted, “Death was on the cards for me, it was imminent.”
The night before he went to rehab, he had taken large amounts of sleeping and anxiety tablets and was completely unaware of where he was or what he was doing.

His mother, Samantha, then told her son to pack a bag as she suggested he “go away for a while.”
Jack remembered being completely out of it and not even wondering where he was going.
‘I stepped in there and then realized that I can’t get out of here anymore. I started kicking off and shouted, “I don’t need to be here, I’m not like that, I don’t have a problem.”
Jack has now been clean since August, in his longest drug-free spell since leaving the Love Island villa.
The star revealed he wouldn’t be here today if he hadn’t gotten help: ‘If I had continued the way I was, even up until six months ago, I would be dead for good. Without any doubt.’
It hasn’t been an easy journey for Jack, who suffered from crippling anxiety and terrifying hallucinations every time he tried to get clean.
Jack went to the Haynes Clinic in Bedfordshire for rehabilitation in November 2020, but he relapsed just months after his treatment.
The influencer has now returned to his job as a pen salesman as he gets back on his feet and continues to undergo therapy and Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

Drama: He also expressed regret over his online feud with ex-future father-in-law Danny Dyer in September (Dani and Jack received a video call from Danny Dyer while in the villa)
In candor, he confessed that he believes he is a stronger person now and strives to be the best version of himself, free from addiction.
He also expressed regret over his online feud with ex-future father-in-law Danny Dyer.
In September, Jack hit back at Danny after the TV icon described his daughter’s ex as a ‘bloody t***’ in a foul-mouthed rant.
In quotes obtained by The sun Danny said at the time: ‘My Dani bought some f****** t**** for the house. Sitting at my table on Sundays and eating my leg of lamb.’
He continued, “You can’t tell your children who to fall in love with. You gotta go with the f****** flow. And then she bought Jarrod Bowen. I earned it. He really is a great man.
“So yeah… if all my dreams could come true… all I fucking want is for a man – or woman, whatever – to worship the damn ground my daughter walks on.”
In a now-deleted post, Jack responded to Danny’s comments, labeling him ‘pathetic’ and saying he has only spoken positively about the star.
Beef: Jack hit back at Danny after the TV icon described his daughter’s ex as a ‘fucking t***’ in foul-mouthed rant
Angry response: Still, Jack has now broken his silence on the feud, admitting it was foolish and regretting posting it, hence removing it
Jack wrote: ‘A t***? I’ve never eaten a leg of lamb at your house. If you have anything to say about me, you know how to get me, so don’t say things without expecting consequences, because we know what happened last time, don’t we Danny Dyer.’
Yet Jack has now done that broke his silence on the feud because he admitted it was stupid and he regretted posting it, hence he deleted it.
There are no hard feelings on Jack’s part as he admitted he still watches the Cockney actor’s films.
Last month, Jack was banned from driving and charged with two counts of drug driving after crashing his BMW into a traffic island two days after taking cocaine.
The star admitted both offenses at Medway Magistrates’ Court.
According to The sunOn March 18, Jack was seen on the wrong side of the road by a woman sitting in a car behind him on Old Bexley Lane, Kent.
Jack shot a curb and speeded down the street and the witness reported him to the police.
The site reported that Jack was banned from driving for 36 months and ordered to do 60 hours of unpaid community work.
But now Jack has stated that the conviction has helped him take responsibility for his actions and he is glad it happened and was a wake-up call.
