CMF by Nothing starts its global expansion – here you can buy their products
Nothing’s CMF sub-brand is leaving the UK as the company rolls out its product range to a further fourteen countries around the world “to meet increasing demand.”
The complete list can be found at official website of the company. The countries include, but are not limited to, the United States, Japan, Thailand, Australia, Mexico and Brazil. This is just the beginning, as Nothing has plans to expand the list to “more than 26 countries” by the end of the year. The additional group of 9 includes several European countries, such as Germany and Saudi Arabia. Sorry, Canada, it’s not your turn yet.
Please note that this is not a universal rollout as certain countries will not receive everything The complete repertoire of CMF. For example, Australian customers can purchase the Buds Pro and the Watch Pro off AliExpress, but not the Power 65W GaN charger. It is unknown why it is not available there. Our best guess is that the prongs on the power stone are for American sockets and not Australian ones.
Speaking of the US, users there can buy all three Amazon, the announcement said. However, at the time of writing this article, US customers cannot purchase the product Watch Pro because it is “currently unavailable” even though the listing page is indeed live.
Possible early launches
We discovered a discrepancy between the official announcement and what is available online. The company claims that people in select European countries can already pre-order CMF devices now, with a shipping date sometime in December. However, when we checked, we found that you can apparently buy them if you live there Spain, ItalyAnd France. The French listings are a little more expensive for whatever reason. Amazon in other EU countries, such as Germany, did not have these listings.
We reached out to CMF with questions about which products are launching earlier in certain EU countries than others and when people in the US can buy the Watch Pro. This story will be updated at a later date.
Analysis: Brand dilution
Looking at this rapid expansion, we can’t help but wonder if this will only dilute the brand. Think about it for a moment. Nothing, like in the company, exists with an air of mystery surrounding it and has been successful in creating hype for its hardware. There’s even a photo of people on CMF’s blog waiting in line for the chance to buy one of their products at the Soho store in London.
However, that is all changing. As CMF becomes more and more widespread, we fear that the gadgets will not receive as much buzz as before. It also doesn’t help that they’re sold on AliExpress, a shopping platform that, shall we say, has a questionable reputation.
Regardless of questionable websites, we always look forward to seeing what Nothing is cooking. For example, the Nothing Phone (2) recently received Nothing OS 2.5 Beta 2 introduces new features such as the ability to integrate the Glyph light on the back into Google Calendar so you can ‘track your upcoming events’.
