Powerball Winner: Hunt for Mysterious $4 Million Prize Winner as Authorities Admit They Have No Way to Contact the New Multimillionaire

Someone who became an instant millionaire after knocking out this week’s Powerball still seems to have no idea he’s won.

The winner won a whopping $4 million in Thursday night’s Powerball after purchasing the winning Division 1 entry.

The lucky player is believed to be from Melbourne and was one of two winners of the Division One draw.

But Lott officials say they can’t let the winner know they’ve won the huge prize.

Aussies who entered the draw have been urged to check their tickets in case they get their hands on the winning entry.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lilydale Village Lotto & News, about 40 kilometers northeast of Melbourne.

News agency owner Rakesh Aggarwal was thrilled that one of the winning entries was sold in his store.

“There are not enough words to express the excitement we feel after helping change someone’s life in last night’s $8 million Powerball drawing,” Mr. Aggarwal told the audience.

The winning numbers in last night’s draw (number 1434) were 35, 15, 3, 23, 34, 29 and 30.

The winner has yet to claim the prize, while Lott officials have no way of contacting Australia's newest multi-millionaire

The Powerball number was 2.

Spokesperson for The Lott Anna Hobdell urged anyone who bought tickets at the Lilydale newsagent to check their tickets.

‘We urge everyone who purchased a Powerball ticket from Lilydale Village Lotto & News to check their tickets today!’ said Mrs. Hobdell.

“Imagine if the Powerball ticket in your back pocket, tucked away in your purse, or under a magnet on your refrigerator was worth four million dollars!”

There were 40 winners from Division 2, while 30 players won the Division 3 draw.
