Fear the Walking Dead actress Alycia Debnam-Carey named Dior’s first-ever Australian ambassador: ‘I’ve always loved fashion’

Australian actress Alycia Debnam-Carey has been unveiled as Australia’s first-ever ambassador for luxury fashion house Dior.

The 30-year-old, who is best known for her role in Fear The Walking Dead, was formally announced as the brand’s newest ambassador on Wednesday.

She posed for a glamorous photoshoot to promote the collaboration, wearing a chic Dior blazer and black tulle skirt.

“This collaboration is incredibly meaningful to me,” she said Australian Vogue about the agreement.

“I have always loved fashion, I am a true fashion girl through and through and to now be part of one of the most prestigious fashion houses in the world is nothing short of a dream come true,” she continued.

“It also means so much to be the first Australian ambassador, a first of its kind is nothing short of rare and special.”

Alycia got her big Hollywood break in 2014 after starring in The CW’s hit series The 100.

From there, she scored a starring role in AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead.

She announced her departure from the post-apocalyptic zombie series in May 2022, after appearing in more than 100 episodes.

“I have had the honor of working with so many inspiring and talented people,” she said in a statement at the time.

“It opened up new opportunities, like directing, and it connected me with such incredible fans who have supported me along the way.”

Alycia’s career continued to blossom this year, with the Sydney-born actress starring in Hulu’s psychological drama Saint X.

She now stars opposite Sigourney Weaver in Amazon’s The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart.
