Influencer Eden Harvey-Hulme – who used N-word in Kanye West’s lip-syncing video – is being SHUT DOWN over ‘sad’ apology as she shared a bizarre ‘sob story’ about getting her butt slashed in the bathtub

An influencer who used the N-word in a lip-syncing clip has been criticized for a series of ‘lame’ apology videos.

Eden Harvey-Hulme, from Britain, sparked fierce backlash during a livestream last month after she made racist comments while performing on Kanye West’s Monster.

The social media star, who has more than 3.2 million followers, was inundated with criticism before issuing a series of apologies.

But many are left disappointed by the sentiments overshadowed by a bizarre “sob story” about “cutting her butt up” in the bathtub.

Eden was called out last month for using the N-word.

She shared her first apology video on October 20, but the audio was later removed from the clip, leaving its contents largely shrouded in mystery.

The caption – “I’m so sorry” – remained, but Eden also quickly disabled comments from other users.

The next day, she took to the video sharing platform again with a second apology.

Eden, who stood in her bathroom in a white robe, spoke directly to the camera as she began: “I haven’t slept well in almost 24 hours. It was just terrible.

‘So I thought, let me take a nice bath, relax and chill. When I got into the tub – and tell me if this has ever happened to you – my foot slipped so I slid all the way down and cut the top of my butthole.

“It feels like it’s just (torn).”

The bizarre confession was followed on October 22 when Eden returned with another clip that was apparently more heartfelt.

Addressing her followers from her car, she explained: ‘Sunday is usually the rest day when we take the dogs for a lovely walk.

‘But for me this Sunday is a Sunday of reflection, because I have just come to terms with the fact that I don’t know if this can still be my job.

“What actually happened two days ago on my live stream – and sorry to everyone, but – that’s the only thing I’ve ever done online that has gotten me so beat up.

‘And that’s what I have to do, that’s how I have to do it.’

She continued, “I’ve been using this app for four years, listening to songs with that word every day of my life, going on live streams for one to two hours, it’s never almost happened… and then I just ruined everything because I’m a damn idiot.

“Again, I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry. That would never happen again, but what’s done is done. I made my mistake, I apologized and I have no choice but to move on.

‘But at the same time I have to think about my family, my real life and my future.

“I think I’ll always enjoy making videos and posting videos, but work-wise I just don’t want to do it.

“Honestly, I think I will always say something that offends someone and it will always affect jobs in the future.

“People will always bring things up and send them to them. It’s not for me.’

Eden added: ‘I want to work with animals. I want to be a zookeeper in the middle of nowhere.

“This is just me rant, but today is a day of reflection and today I’m just sorry again, but it’s not enough. I’m sorry every damn day. It’s not sustainable.’

But she wasn’t done there yet and shared an apology later that same day.

Back in her bathroom, the content creator began, “This is the last thing I’m going to say about the situation going on right now.

“Every time I post something related to what happened, of course a lot of people want to defend me, they want me to feel better or worry less, and while I appreciate that, your comments say “oh it’s just a song, it’s just this, it’s just that” it’s very demoralizing.

“I know people are probably like, ‘Eden, that’s the most fucking hypocritical thing you’ve ever said,’ because I’m the one who parroted it in a song.

“When I talk about it, I completely understand that you are fiercely loyal and that’s why I love you so much, but it’s not okay to ever emulate it, sing it, say it – ever.

“So please during this situation I ask you for the first time ever, don’t defend me because I just need to own it. There’s no defense against mimicking that word or anything.”

She added: “I’m really, really ashamed.

“I have so many people around me who think that if they saw that clip… They clearly know that I’m not a racist, I’m not a racist person, I don’t have a racist bone in my body. I mimed the word, so I’m like, let me take it all.

“Finally, if you are white, my apology is not directed at you…

“This is for the black community. My apology is for them, what they do with my apology… they don’t have to accept it.

“But if you’re white, please don’t say you accept my apology or justify it.”

She concluded, “I don’t want sympathy, I don’t want pity, I don’t want you to try to justify it. I love you all so much, but please take a back seat for a moment.”

Still, there were many vocal protests, including from fellow content creator Jaya Howard.

Compiling the content, she argued, “What irritates me most about all of this is the fact that she leaves her viewings aside and thinks it’s okay.”

She continued, “She has made a sob story for herself and said she doesn’t want to stay online and that makes her viewers… support her even more and defend her actions even though they are wrong.

“She wants the comfort of people encouraging her to stay online… she wants that validation and people giving her that.

“We must all get out our violins again for Eden.”

And dozens of other users seemed to agree with the sentiment as one wrote: “She’s literally trying to manipulate her viewers by being ‘sad’.”

Another added: ‘I can’t stand how many problematic things she says that makes her act like a victim. Why does she say, “This can’t be my job anymore”? That’s your fault, not ours.

And a third simply said: ‘Some of these creators don’t deserve the platforms they have.’
