‘Side hustle expert’ reveals the part-time jobs that could make you a fortune – because so few people ‘actually want to do them’

A clever entrepreneur has explained which jobs are ‘literally disappearing’ because no one will think about entering them anymore – before revealing how you can make a fortune by taking advantage of the vacancies.

The man, who goes by the name Side Hustle Realist on social media, shared three “disappearing jobs” that have the potential to become lucrative, among the thinning ranks of potential workers looking to pursue the associated professions.

The content creator started “If you start doing them today, they’re going to make you a lot of money, and that’s not what you expect.”

He then listed the three profitable professions: seamstress or tailor, shoemaker and dry cleaner.

A savvy entrepreneur and side hustle expert has revealed three ‘disappearing’ jobs that he says will help you make a fortune if you ‘start them now’

He launched the first option to become a seamstress or tailor and wondered: 'How many young people do you know who really want to become a seamstress or tailor? It no longer exists'

Launching the first option of becoming a seamstress or tailor, he mused, “How many young people do you know who really want to become a seamstress or tailor?”

He launched the first option to become a seamstress or tailor and wondered: ‘How many young people do you know who really want to become a seamstress or tailor? It no longer exists.

‘People who do it now are making a killing. In the future it will become even better, because no one wants to dive into it.

“People will always need adjustments to their clothing, whether it’s hemming their pants, adding a patch – whatever it is, it’s always going to be necessary.”

Pointing to an old-fashioned Singer sewing machine model, he continued, “I mean, can you believe you can make hundreds of thousands of dollars with this thing right here? This old thing here?’

As a second side note, the social media star explained that because “shoemakers” are “slowly disappearing,” “the people who are doing it now are actually making money from it.”

He went on to explain that he knows a guy with a “very small store” who makes “almost a million dollars, and he’s a one-man show.”

Shoemaking, the man added, involves more than just making repairs. It also includes leather and suede repair, which requires specific skills, as well as certain tools that are almost exclusive to the profession.

Last but not least, he admitted that while he may be “a little biased” in this area, his own side hustle of running a dry cleaning business offers some serious money-making potential.

“If you go to a dry cleaner near you, you’ll notice something. The owners are usually quite old. I’m talking about the seventies and eighties. Because their children don’t want to take over,” he said.

‘And what’s happening is that this industry is slowly dying. Not dying in the sense that there is no demand for it; it is dying because many people do not want to participate in it,” he clarified.

‘Most people don’t understand it. They don’t know that they can train to become dry cleaners. They don’t know they can open a dry cleaner without even being a dry cleaner.”

He further stated that running a dry cleaning business is “a great job… to consider if you want to make a lot of money in the future.”

Viewers flocked to the comments section to express their gratitude for the insider advice.

“I said that being a seamstress is a skill to have and that you can make a lot of money. “I’m so glad my mother taught me to sew,” one offered.

‘No lies are told. I am a seamstress. I work on wedding gowns and it’s rare that we find a seamstress who can help us. I’m the youngest in my industry,” a second agreed.

‘Jobs that AI can’t do. Keep spreading the good word, brother,” a third chimed in.

‘Cobbler sounds like such a cool job. Hatters, cobblers, butchers, bakers, candlestick makers… we need to get back to the craft,” wrote another inspired viewer, to which Side Hustle Realist responded: “So worth it.”
