Tragedy in which a teenage boy dies after being found injured on a Melbourne street

A teenage boy has died after being found injured in the street following a suspected hit-and-run.

Emergency services were called to Chichester Drive in Taylors Lakes, in Melbourne’s northwest, about 6.55pm on Monday.

Despite their efforts, the boy died on the spot. He has yet to be formally identified.

Police suspect the teenager may have been hit by a car.

“Police are working to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and investigations are ongoing,” Victoria Police said.

Two other boys who were also involved in the incident were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
