  • The friends reportedly raised a share of £3.3 million at an Amy-related auction

Amy Winehouse’s father is suing his late daughter’s two friends in the High Court over claims they kept profits from the sale of her belongings.

Mitch Winehouse, a former taxi driver, wants to reclaim the money he claims should be paid to the foundation set up in the singer’s name.

Amy’s lover Catriona Gourlay and stylist Naomi Parry are said to have won a share of the £3.3million at an auction in Beverly Hills in America in 2021.

Amy died in 2011 aged 27 from alcohol poisoning – with a Parry-made dress the singer wore during her last ever performance reportedly fetching £200,000 at auction.

It was claimed that notes written by the star were also among the items sold. The sun reported.

The newspaper was told by Amy Winehouse Estate that Catriona and Naomi have sold more of Amy’s assets this year.

In a statement it added: ‘Two individuals sold a number of items at that auction and kept the proceeds: the items were all Amy-related.

“This year they auctioned off more Amy-related items. Together, the two auctions each raised six-figure sums.”

Naomi wrote a book about Amy in 2021, which included a chapter by Catriona.

In a BBC documentary, Catriona opened up about her relationship with Amy, saying: ‘Our relationship was so unique.’
