Wisconsin drunk, 21, is charged with biting man’s FINGERTIP off after being told to stop groping guest at golf club wedding, which could leave victim facing life-long deformity

A drunken Wisconsin wedding guest bit off a fellow attendee’s fingertip after being told to stop groping someone, police say.

Nathan Landsee, 21, has been charged with aggravated battery and disorderly conduct following the incident Friday at The Club at Lac La Belle in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

Officers were called to the golf course for reports that “someone’s fingertip had been bitten off” and saw Landsee “sitting on a bench with blood on his sleeve that did not appear to be his,” according to Fox5.

He lunged at a guest before being pinned to the ground by three others and bit off the victim’s fingertip, the complaint said. About half an inch of the finger had been bitten off, leaving the bone exposed.

The violence is said to have broken out after Landsee was told to stop fondling another unidentified wedding guest.

Landsee appeared in Waukesha County District Court on Monday, where bond was set at $25,000.

Witnesses told prosecutors that there were two incidents involving Landsee at the wedding in which someone had his fingertip bitten off.

The “original incident that occurred occurred when the suspect inappropriately touched another guest,” according to the complaint.

People were visibly angry with Landsee and then “the defendant started shouting and became very irritated.”

He was allegedly moved to another room closed off from the ballroom and “the bride and groom at the scene attempted to calm the defendant, which led to the second incident,” according to the complaint.

“The suspect started screaming loudly and was disorderly again,” it said.

A second witness entered the room where Landsee was and “reached a point where they had to ask the suspect to leave.”

But he allegedly “became very aggressive and continued to be loud.”

The first witness told him that the police would be called if he did not leave within five minutes.

But Landsee “began to lunge at him and attempted to hit him,” the complaint said.

A scuffle allegedly ensued in which three people had to pin him to the ground and “the suspect bit the tip of someone’s finger off.”

There was blood on the floor between the foyer and the bathroom. The incident left many people alarmed and some even crying.

A police sergeant said: “The victim’s injuries were significant. It turned out that about half an inch of the finger had been bitten off.

“The bone in the finger appeared to be exposed.”

The officer said the fingertip was found and placed in a cup of ice.

Landsee spoke with police, who said they were cooperating.

“However, it appears that the defendant was highly intoxicated as he had a strong odor of intoxicants emanating from his person, his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and his speech was slurred,” the complaint said.

He allegedly told officers “he didn’t know what was happening, but everyone grabbed him and someone put his hand in his mouth, so he bit down.”

Landsee had a preliminary breath sample taken and recorded a blood alcohol content of 0.210. A registration of 0.08 or higher is considered drunk.

The victim called police on Oct. 29 and “stated that the injury to his finger resulted in 18 or 19 stitches while the surgeon attempted to reattach the tip of his finger,” according to the complaint.

He said that if his surgery was not successful, he would have a deformity “for the rest of his life.”

A groomsman at the wedding said the incident was “traumatic” for everyone present.
