A medical aesthetic doctor has revealed five things he would never do as a cosmetic doctor – as a warning to people before booking their beauty treatments.
Dr. Richard Devine is a London-based aesthetic doctor who regularly shares tips and tricks on TikTok.
In a recent video, he advised customers against a range of popular beauty enhancements, including Russian lip fillers and tanning beds.
The video has since been viewed more than 1.6 million times, and many have taken to the comments section to share their thoughts on Dr.’s advice. Devine to share.

First, Dr. warned. Devine rails against thread lifts, a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that uses threads under the skin to create a more lifted appearance.
Although the temporary procedure has proven popular as a much less invasive alternative to a facelift, Dr. Devine warned others against thread lifts because “they are painful, expensive and not durable.”
Next, the doctor moved on to Russian lips, which involves injecting filler from the inside of the lip outward to create a lifted look, rather than the fuller look you get from regular fillers.
“This is absolutely not allowed, unless of course you want to look like a duck,” said Dr. Devine.
The third warning Dr. Devine gave was against undergoing cosmetic treatments by an esthetician or non-medical professional.
He said, “Non-physicians don’t have good medical training. If something goes wrong, they will not be able to adequately manage the complication.
“They’re much more likely to disappear if something goes wrong.”
“I would never use Juvederm filler,” was his fourth warning.

Juvederm is a type of dermal filler used to add volume to specific areas of the face, including cheeks and lips.
He said: ‘In my experience, the filler gradually swells over time, which can distort the original result.’
Finally, Dr. warned. Devine strongly opposes the use of tanning beds.
‘I would never use a tanning bed. Tanning beds destroy your collagen over time, making your skin look wrinkly,” he said.
‘They are also a major risk factor for cancer. Do not do it.’
