Wendy Harmer reveals the high-profile comedian who exposed his genitals to her while they worked on one of Australia’s biggest radio shows
Wendy Harmer has revealed the X-rated truth behind her days as host of one of Australia’s biggest breakfast radio shows in the early 1990s.
In her new memoir Lies My Mirror Told Me, the 68-year-old broadcasting veteran described how her former 2Day FM co-host, comedian Jamie Dunn, 73, would expose his genitals to her while on air as part of an ongoing prank .
As reported by The ageHarmer recalled that she never found the joke funny or sexual in nature, writing: “I guess Jamie was a bit of a naturist.”
“I still don’t understand why he would do it as a joke on the radio,” she said, later confirming that she had seen Dunn’s penis “more times” than she “wanted to remember.”
Paul Holmes, Harmer and Dunn’s former co-host, also reflected on the bizarre joke in the memoir, writing: “He dropped his dacks, showed his penis, raised his hands in the air and struck a pose On’.

Dunn, best known for voicing and operating the children’s puppet Agro, meanwhile admitted he had exposed himself “once or twice” as a “harmless prank” when approached for comment by the Sydney Morning Herald.
It comes after Harmer revealed she has no plans to return to the stand-up circuit anytime soon.
Speak with The Matty Johns Podcast earlier this year, the ABC radio host opened up about her thoughts on how the industry has changed over the years.

Dunn, best known for voicing and operating the children’s puppet Agro, meanwhile admitted he had exposed himself “once or twice” as a “harmless joke” when approached by the Sydney Morning Herald for comment.
“I’ll probably do a little stand-up. But eh, I wouldn’t go back to the track,” she told the podcast in April.
‘The money is worthless. I mean, back in the day when I was performing…at least I got a bottle of French and a ounce of Coke,” she joked.
“Nowadays you get about two hundred dollars and a kick in the ass.”

The star also opened up about her 2002 Logies hosting flop, where she joked about canceling TV shows at the request of a producer.
“I kind of underestimated how crushed people were,” she told the podcast.
‘The funny thing was that I had a completely different routine in mind. And the director said, ‘Look, give it to them. Don’t be warm and cuddly like you know, stand up.'” Worst advice ever,” she added.
