Wendy Harmer has revealed the X-rated truth behind her days as host of one of Australia’s biggest breakfast radio shows in the early 1990s.

In her new memoir Lies My Mirror Told Me, the 68-year-old broadcasting veteran described how her former 2Day FM co-host, comedian Jamie Dunn, 73, would expose his genitals to her while on air as part of an ongoing prank .

As reported by The ageHarmer recalled that she never found the joke funny or sexual in nature, writing: “I guess Jamie was a bit of a naturist.”

“I still don’t understand why he would do it as a joke on the radio,” she said, later confirming that she had seen Dunn’s penis “more times” than she “wanted to remember.”

Paul Holmes, Harmer and Dunn’s former co-host, also reflected on the bizarre joke in the memoir, writing: “He dropped his dacks, showed his penis, raised his hands in the air and struck a pose On’.

Dunn, best known for voicing and operating the children’s puppet Agro, meanwhile admitted he had exposed himself “once or twice” as a “harmless prank” when approached for comment by the Sydney Morning Herald.

It comes after Harmer revealed she has no plans to return to the stand-up circuit anytime soon.

The star also opened up about her 2002 Logies hosting flop, where she joked about canceling TV shows at the request of a producer.

“I kind of underestimated how crushed people were,” she told the podcast.
