Sarah Silverman once revealed that she lost her virginity to Kevin Brennan – the former SNL writer who is currently being criticized after he made fun of Matthew Perry’s death.

The former Saturday Night Live writer was 30 when he dated then-19-year-old Silverman, according to a clip he shared on his Misery Loves Company podcast, titled, “Kevin Brennan TAKES Sarah Silverman’s VIRGINITY & BREAKS HER HEART .’

“I lost my virginity at 19 to another comedian,” Silverman said in an interview with the YouTube show The Conversations in 2015.

“I was so in love with him, but… he was 30… I was madly in love with him and I was nothing to him… so he dumped me and I was so devastated,” the comedian said.

Silverman gave intimate details about the sexual encounter, which took place in 1989.

‘I loved it, I couldn’t believe it! I thought, “This is sex? Oh my God!” And then he pulled back the sheets and there was blood and my heart stopped and I thought, “that came from you!” and he said, “No, that didn’t happen.”

She added: ‘I thought I would never fall in love again and I remember my mother saying, ‘Won’t this experience prevent you from falling in love again?’

‘I still love him. I still know him,” Silverman noted.

Despite her loving words for Brennan, he called her a “wh*re” in a 2021 episode of his podcast discussing her romantic relationships.

“It’s so sad for her to just say, ‘Let me date another comedian,'” Brennan said in an obsessive rant. “I’m so glad I was first on that damn train.”

He tweeted a link to TMZ’s coverage of the actor’s death last Saturday with the caption: “DROWNED IN A HOT TUB.” HAHAHAHA.’

Brennan then replied to a tweet of his comments with the headline “Ex-SNL writer-comedian Kevin Brennan mocks Matthew Perry’s death.”

‘I wasn’t joking about it. I just thought it was funny. But I love it when junkies die,” he wrote.

In response to a user who asked Kevin, “Why is drowning in a hot tub funny?” he replied, ‘Because it is not very deep.’

Brennan faced a wave of criticism for his vile comments, but refused to back down and continued to make jokes.

On Monday, he took to Twitter again and asked, “Am I trending yet?”

He also shared a news story about the controversy, with the headline: “Comedy writer criticized for cruel tweet mocking Matthew Perry’s death.”

Brennan was one of the writers and correspondents for SNL’s Weekend Update from 1999 to 2000. He was ‘passed over’ after being in the running following the departure of Colin Quinn as presenter.

The Chicago native is estranged from his younger brother, comedian Neal Brennan, known as co-creator of Comedy Central’s critically acclaimed Chappelle’s Show.

Although Kevin has fallen into relative obscurity in recent decades, his brother has written for several shows and has a comedy special on Netflix.

Kevin is known for talking about other comedians in his podcasts and stand-up routines, including his brother, who he has repeatedly accused of stealing jokes.

“I hate my own brother,” he has said of Neal in the past. “I have five brothers…I can afford to hate some of them.”

People reacted in disgust, with one person commenting: ‘That’s EXACTLY why I said you would do it, you waste of space!! Anything for attention, even if it is negative. Enjoy your 90 seconds of fame.’

Another person wrote: ‘To remind people what a loser you are? Yes, yes you are,” while a third echoed: “He is literally the only reason anyone finds out who you are lol so Matthew has the last laugh.”

A fourth agreed, saying: ‘For all the wrong reasons. Who the hell says they “love it when junkies die?” Read the room.

“You should update your bio just to say…. terrible person. I hope your podcast company drops you and all four listeners who are likely tuning into your show.”

The Los Angeles County coroner has listed Matthew Perry’s cause of death as “deferred” pending final toxicology test results.

An LAPD source told The New York Post, “We responded to the 1800 block of Blue Sail Rd at 4:10 this afternoon for an investigation into the death of a man. He was in his fifties.’

No drugs were found at the scene and authorities ruled out foul play.

Sources did say that antidepressants and anti-anxiety drugs, including pills for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), were found at the property.

Friends have said the star appeared ‘tired’ in his final days, and in his final Instagram post, shared earlier this week, he posted pictures of him in his pool.

The caption read: ‘Oh, so the warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman.’

Perry, who played Chandler Bing on the NBC hit Friends, had struggled with substance abuse throughout his life and said he wanted to help others dealing with a similar situation.

In a November 2022 appearance on the Q with Tom Power podcast at Toronto’s Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema, he said the “most important thing” he would like to be remembered for “is wanting to help people in their fight against addiction.”

“The best thing about me, bar none, is when an alcoholic or drug addict comes up to me and says, ‘Will you help me?'” he said. “I can say yes and follow through and do it.

“When I die, I don’t want Friends to be the first thing mentioned. I want this to be the first thing that comes up, and I’m going to have to spend the rest of my life proving that.”
