Will Levis made his long-awaited debut on Sunday in the Tennessee Titans’ game against the Atlanta Falcons.
And the rookie QB marked it in style, completing his first touchdown pass in the first quarter when he found DeAndre Hopkins on a 47-yard throw to give the Titans the lead.
It was also Hopkins’ first touchdown catch, and Levis celebrated the score by running toward the end zone with his arms outstretched.
He played in place of injured starter Ryan Tannehill, who missed the game due to an ankle problem.
The Titans, who started the day at 2-4, used Malik Willis as a backup when Tannehill injured himself in a loss to the Baltimore Ravens earlier this month.

But Levis was picked against the Falcons and he repaid that trust with two first-half touchdown passes. He and Hopkins combined again for a 16-yard touchdown that extended the Titans’ lead.
It meant Levis threw as many touchdowns in one half as Tannehill has thrown in six games this season. He then outscored Tannehill in the third quarter, throwing a 61-yard touchdown pass to Hopkins for the receiver’s third score.
Levis was surprisingly taken in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He was ultimately selected by Tennessee as the 33rd overall pick. Until today, the Titans QB had made more headlines for his off-field antics.

In 2021, the then-Kentucky Wildcats star shared a bizarre video of himself eating completely unpeeled and overripe bananas on TikTok.
More footage showed him mixing mayonnaise into his coffee last year, although many fans believe it was a publicity stunt.
Levis was expected to be a first-round pick, but Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Will Anderson and Anthony Richardson were expected to be picked early.
Levis, 24, also split from his college girlfriend, Gia Duddy, in September after doubling her Instagram followers following his draft nightmare.
