Ioan Gruffudd’s ex-wife Alice Evans today vowed to ‘tell her truth’ amid a bitter court battle with the actor over their daughters.

The feuding Hollywood stars are locked in a bitter custody battle over their young children Ella and Elsie after Gruffudd left his then-wife Evans in 2021 after 14 years of marriage.

In August, a Los Angeles judge granted the Fantastic Four actor’s request to appoint a child psychiatrist to manage the increasingly bitter battles over the two girls, ages thirteen and nine.

102 Dalmatians star Evans had strongly opposed the measure, claiming it was unnecessary and that Gruffudd had not seen or called his daughters for almost three months.

Now, in an Instagram post today, which shows Elsie playing in a pool, Evans has vowed to ‘tell her truth’.

She wrote, “I’m posting this moment of joy (which I share with my children every day) because I’m about to tell my truth about the harassment I’ve been dealing with for two years now. I can’t sit here and be slandered and lied to all the time.’

The couple divorced earlier this year, but issues surrounding spousal support and child custody still need to be resolved.

In a statement to the court, Gruffudd called Evans’ final statements opposing the assessor and criticizing her ex “false or grossly misleading.”

He said: ‘The circumstances with our daughters Ella and Elsie, and my relationship with them, are not as Alice describes.

“Alice has stated in her own words in multiple social media posts that I am trying to get at least 50/50 custody of Ella and Elsie and that she does not want this and/or is actively working to prevent this.

“I believe it is imperative that a specific reviewer is appointed at the hearing on August 17 to avoid further and potentially significant delays in initiating this important process.”

Gruffudd pointed out that while “Alice maintains that child custody evaluation is not necessary,” the girls’ court-appointed attorney and their most recent therapist are both in favor of appointing an evaluator.

And he added that the therapist wrote, “I believe it would be in the best interests of your daughters for Elsie to continue psychotherapy with me and Ella to be evaluated by a child psychiatrist.”

Gruffudd expressed concern that Evans took Elsie out of a school she had attended since kindergarten and placed her in a new school, defying a court order that she could not change the children’s school without his permission . “I didn’t agree with it,” he said.

Speaking again about the ‘severe emotional damage’ he believes Evans is causing to their daughters, Gruffudd continued: ‘Alice berated, verbally and threatened me regularly throughout our marriage and after the divorce, often in the presence of Ella and/or Elsie.
