Wentworth star Kate Box says she’s felt ‘exposed in all the wrong ways’ filming sex scenes in the past as she discusses her new show Erotic Stories

She stars in the provocative new series Erotic Stories from SBS.

And on Thursday, Kate Box admitted she has felt “wrongly exposed” while filming sex scenes in the past.

The Australian actress, 44, shared news.com.auher experiences filming sex scenes have changed throughout her career.

“I’ve done sex scenes in the past in my career where I felt exposed in the wrong way,” she said.

“You want to feel vulnerable, you want to let your guard down, you want to feel like you’re in control of creating the story and you can create it in a beautiful way.”

“But I’ve been through scenes in the past where I didn’t feel that sense of trust and ownership. There has been a remarkable change in the way we make TV.”

Kate will play a queer woman who uses dating apps to find a casual hookup after the end of a 20-year relationship in Erotic Stories.

She said the series is “incredibly sex positive” and “incredibly intimate and joyful.”

Kate rose to fame as tough inmate Lou Kelly in Foxtel’s prison drama Wentworth.

She shared an on-screen romance with non-binary performer Zoe Terakes, who played Reb Keane in the drama series.

Kate also appeared in the ensemble cast of Deadloch from ABC’s hit Utopia.

She played an enthusiastic junior police officer who assists the detectives in their investigation, which takes place as Deadloch prepares its arts and crafts festival.
