The Amazing Race’s Bec Judd has a public breakdown over fried tarantula before she is forced to leave the show: ‘My worst nightmare’

It was the end of the road for Rebecca Judd and sister Kate Twigley on the Amazing Race on Wednesday night.

Just days after eating ox tongue and bull’s penis, it was a deep-fried tarantula in Cambodia that caused the girls to break free.

The mother-of-four, 40, had a public breakdown when she walked into a small hut and saw the delicacy being prepared on a burner.

“Nup, this is like my worst nightmare,” Rebecca said, letting out a scream as she put both hands on her head.

An equally disgusted Kate looked at the hairy black spider and noted that it ‘froze’ when cooked in oil.

“Was he still alive when they put him in there?” Bec asked, unable to look.

Kate explained that it had soft legs that now looked crispy.

‘I am gone. Bye,” Bec said as she picked up her backpack and left the cabin.

The two sisters talked to each other, trying to figure out what to do.

“I think we’ll take a time penalty,” Bec said.

‘I can not do it. I’m not even allowed to be near the spiders,” she added.

Kate seemed a little more excited to try, but couldn’t continue without Bec.

“We can’t separate, we have to be together,” Kate reminded her.

Kate admitted she knew Bec would ‘fall to pieces’ during the challenge.

‘There is no way. That’s absolutely not possible,” Bec said, before shouting at the producers for being given a time penalty.

Despite arriving at the checkpoint in third place, the sisters had to wait 60 minutes, resulting in them checking in last and being eliminated from the competition.

Host Beau Ryan told the sisters the bad news.

“It was a risk to take a time penalty, but it was such an incredible adventure, traveling the world and seeing all these amazing places,” Bec said.

The WAG then named her charity, Impatient Advocacy, a foundation set up by her late friend Nicole Cooper.

‘Racing for our dear friend Nicole. She was a fierce patient advocate,” Bec said in a moving tribute.

“It was an honor and a privilege to share her story and to share the work that continues after she is gone.”
