The View host Ana Navarro unleashes a SCATHING rant about Hollywood nepo babies – branding them ‘entitled toxic brats’ and ‘talentless dolts’ who simply ‘won the ovarian lottery’

The View’s Ana Navarro didn’t hold back when she launched into a scathing tirade about nepo babies, labeling them as “toxic brats” and “talentless idiots” who are never “grateful” for the opportunities they’re given.

The 51-year-old discussed Gwyneth Paltrow’s recent comments, in which the A-list mother of two defended nepotism and criticized the “judgment that exists around famous people’s children.”

Ana accused famous offspring of ‘making everyone’s lives hell’ and claimed that the only reason they have a certain status or a decent job is because they simply ‘won the ovary lottery’.

But she faced a lack of support from her co-hosts, with Sara Haines, 46, claiming nepo babies ‘work twice as hard’, while Alyssa Farah Griffin, 34, pointing out that the real ‘problem’ is to to be entitled to it.

Joy Behar, 81, kicked off Friday’s Hot Topic when she mentioned Gwyneth’s recent interview with Bustle.

The Iron Man actress, who has daughter Apple, 19, and son Moses, 17, with her ex-husband Chris Martin, said: ‘Nobody’s joking about a kid saying, ‘I want to be a doctor like my dad and grandpa . “‘

“Let me talk about nepobabies,” Ana shouted, while Joy joked, “Release the Kraken!”

“Look, I don’t think anyone is questioning Gwyneth Paltrow,” Ana said. ‘There’s no doubt that having wealthy, connected parents gives you an advantage in life – whatever the profession. And I think parents often work to be able to be that connected.

“No one has a problem with a Gwyneth Paltrow or a Liza Minnelli or Mitt Romney… these are people who may have started out as a nepo baby, who may have started out with doors opening because of who their mother or father was, but who worked , who have earned it, who have shown talent, who have had merit, who have risen because of what they have done.’

The political strategist and commentator continued: “The people who give nepobabies a bad name are the people who start every sentence with ‘my father’ or ‘my mother’, the people who are talentless idiots and instead of being humble and grateful for the opportunities they get because they won the ovarian lottery, they are toxic brats!

“(They) are entitled and privileged, making everyone’s lives hell because they know they can’t get fired because of who they are!”

After much applause from the audience, the mother of three agreed: “Okay, can I hitch a ride on Ana? There are nepobabies who act like this, and then there are nepobabies who come in and work twice as hard because they know they have an advantage.

“These people are some of the best in the room because they have to prove themselves and I’ve worked with some of those people on and off, they’re great, they’re the others….”

Alyssa added her two pence and said, “I wanted to say that Allison Williams is also an example…Brian Williams’ daughter. Great actress, she was in Girls, but she recognizes the doors that opened and then used her own talent and rode on it.

“I think if you recognize the privilege that comes with nepotism and then work twice as hard, that’s really all that matters; the law is the problem.’

Sunny Hostin, celebrating her 55th birthday, suggested, “Don’t you want each generation of your family to do better than the last? My father always taught me that… (he said) ‘you did better than me. Your children should do better.’

Eager to have the last word, Joy blurted out, “Don’t act like you hit a home run if you were born on third base!”

Celebrity nepotism is nothing new, but the ‘Nepo Baby’ label took off last year after a host of stars, including Dakota Johnson, Maya Hawke, Zoë Kravitz and Lily-Rose Depp, were mocked on the cover of The Year of the Nepo Baby in New York Magazine.

Gwyneth – the daughter of actress Blythe Danner and director Bruce Paltrow – criticized the term, calling it an “ugly name.”

The actress turned wellness guru claimed her own daughter is “a very private person” and has no interest in modeling for her mother’s Goop brand, adding, “She doesn’t want anything to do with it, though.”

She reflected, “Now there’s a whole nepo baby culture and judgment on famous people’s children. She’s really just a student, and she’s very… She just wants to be a kid and go to school and learn.”

Gwyneth stood up for children who work in the same profession as their parents, pointing out that they act according to the influences they have absorbed at home.

“The truth is, if you grow up in a house with a lot of artists and people who make art and music, that’s what you know, just like if you grow up in a house with the law, the discussions at the dinner table are about the nuances of what specific law the parents also apply,” she said. “I think it’s an ugly name.”

She added, “I just hope that my children always feel free to pursue exactly what they want to do, no matter what anyone is going to think or say.”
