REVEALED: Terrifying voicemail left for a GOP lawmaker’s wife over Jim Jordan Speaker vote
A chilling voicemail message was left for the wife of a Republican lawmaker who voted against Rep. Jim Jordan’s bid to become Speaker of the House of Representatives.
There has been a battle over who should lead the House of Representatives after Republican Kevin McCarthy was ousted in a historic vote on October 3.
Jordan held a vote on his candidacy on Tuesday, and a second on Wednesday, winning even fewer votes than the first. Some lawmakers who did not vote for him received angry messages from voters, including some death threats.
CNN got a nasty voicemail in which the caller said, “You won’t be left alone because of your damn husband,” the caller threatened. “Jim Jordan or more conservative, or you’ll be fucking abused like you can never imagine.”
The House is currently led by interim Speaker Patrick McHenry, who has little power to bring up legislation in the House of Representatives and has reportedly threatened to resign.

The threatening voicemail sent to the wife of an unnamed Republican who voted against Rep. Jordan was shared by CNN.
“Why is your husband such a pig?” the caller said. ‘Why would he go on TV and make a fool of himself? Because he’s a deep-state p****?
‘Because he doesn’t represent the people? So what we’re going to do is follow you everywhere.”
He added: “We will be around non-stop. We are Antifa now. We’re going to do what the left does because your damn husband goes on TV: ‘Oh, the bad guys, they did stuff. I have to vote for Kevin McCarthy, ‘a piece of s*** that everyone knows.
“So, fuck you, fuck your man, and we’re going to – we’re not like the left. We are not violent. But we will follow you at every appointment you have, in everything you do.
“Your husband is a ******. You should talk to his stupid ass. We are at war. Israelis are being murdered.
“And your stupid husband acts like a damn two year old? No wonder. He’s a belligerent piece of shit.’
The caller said, “Listen, you’re going to keep getting calls and emails. I’m now putting all your information on the Internet. Everyone is.

‘And again, nonviolent. You don’t go to the beauty salon. You must be a b**** to marry an ugly bastard like that.”
Nebraska Rep. Don Bacon previously said his wife had received anonymous text messages threatening him unless he voted for Jordan. Bacon said Jordan had no chance in future elections.
While Republican Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks of Iowa, who voted against Jim Jordan for Speaker, says she has received “credible death threats.”
It comes after Jordan called off a third speaker’s vote following his crushing defeat on Wednesday and amid signs he could lose the support of his Republican colleagues.
He remains a Republican candidate for speaker and buys himself more time to get skeptical colleagues on his side.
Interim Chairman McHenry told his Republican colleagues he could resign if Republicans force him to bring legislation to the floor without a vote to expand his powers, several lawmakers said.
“If you guys try that, you’ll find out who the next person on Kevin’s list is,” he said, according to three sources who told NBC News.
McHenry made the comment Thursday during a closed-door meeting, referring to McCarthy’s secret list of Republican representatives who would become temporary speakers during a vacancy.
He does not want to set a precedent that would allow future temporary speakers to gain the full power of elected speakers.
One Republican lawmaker viewed McHenry’s comments as a direct threat to resign and said he made the same suggestion to others.
While a second Republican said the interim chairman made the comments “with a wink.”

Jordan will not cast a third vote as chairman and will back a resolution to temporarily authorize interim chairman Patrick McHenry, which will give him more time to try to strengthen the votes
Jordan, who dropped votes in his first two bids, will now backtrack by giving McCarthy ally McHenry the gavel in a temporary bid to end the gridlock that has paralyzed Congress for 15 days.
McHenry would act as a caretaker until embattled Republicans in the House of Representatives can find a solution to resolve the chaos that has engulfed the party since McCarthy was ousted two weeks ago.
But the move would allow McHenry to push back legislation such as spending bills and aid to Israel by a month until the government shuts down again.
The resolution will have to be voted on in the House of Representatives and needs support from Democrats.
McHenry has always denied any interest in taking on the long-term role of speaker.
He told reporters Thursday, “I’m focused on electing Jim Jordan, the speaker nominee, as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
‘That’s my goal. That’s my goal.’
