I’m a dating coach and here are five signs someone secretly finds you attractive

A dating coach has revealed the five ways to tell if someone is interested in you romantically, or if he or she just sees you as a friend.

Jacob LucasThe 30-year-old Westbury, Wiltshire, who regularly posts relationship advice on TikTok, has revealed there are many ways someone can accidentally show they are interested in you.

The influencer – who claims his hands-on methods have helped millions of people get the love life they’ve always wanted – said the first sign someone likes you is that they ‘always come to you for advice’.

“They do it for two reasons,” he says. ‘Number one is that they value your opinion very much, because your opinion is the most important to them.

“The second reason is it’s a good excuse to talk to you.”

A second sign to look for is if someone is always “playfully teasing you,” Jacob said.

“They start joking with you a lot and talking to you more than they talk to other people,” he explained.

“This is a lot of people’s way to build some nice flirty tension with someone.”

The dating coach also explained that someone who constantly ends up in your DMs is a “dead giveaway.”

“For example, they can always comment on your stories or send you memes and say it reminds them of you,” he explained.

But in reality, Mr. Lucas is saying that person is just trying to start a conversation with you.

Another sign to look out for is if someone starts to copy the way you speak, whether that’s slang words you would use yourself or even “reflecting your tonalities in the conversation.”

“They say that imitation is a sincere form of flattery.”

Finally, someone who is interested in you will probably try to find out if there is anyone else you are in a romantic relationship with.

He said they will constantly try to find out if they have any “romantic competition with anyone else” you are talking to, and that they will probe into your love life.

It comes after Jacob revealed 10 hand movements and what they could mean when it comes to body language.

The first movement he lists in the video is when someone points their palms upward.

This, he explains, can mean that they are “honest, trustworthy and want to be accepted.”

On the way to the second gesture, he demonstrates a chopping motion with his hands.

This could mean that the speaker is “talking precisely, wanting to get things done,” he explains.

Third, he shows himself with his palms facing down. When it comes to what this could mean in terms of body language, he explains that it could mean “dominance, speaking with conviction.”

Fourth is finger tapping, which Jacob says can be a feeling of “annoyed, stressed (and) frustrated.”

His fifth movement demonstrates a hand-washing motion, which could indicate that the speaker is feeling nervous, insecure, and worried.

On the other end of the spectrum, his sixth part consists of rook hands, which can represent the speaker feeling confident, powerful and dominant.

Another movement that can indicate that the speaker is uncertain, insecure, and nervous is clasping the hands together with hidden thumbs.

If someone you’re talking to holds up their index finger, it could mean they just want you to listen, according to Jacob

Meanwhile, holding the index finger in the other hand means they can feel insecure, uncomfortable and confident.

For his tenth and final gesture, Jacob rubbed the face with both hands, which he said could mean someone is “frustrated, irritated (and) tired.”
