“Oh wow, wow!” he gasped.
‘This is so surreal. I’m over the moon!
“I’m honestly so shocked. I don’t know what to say.
‘I thought I would quickly check the numbers on my ticket and when the price was announced I immediately thought something was wrong. I sat there thinking.
‘This is a big surprise. I’m still trying to process it all. I can’t believe I won $30 million.
“I’ve been in and out of the country for work, and I’m so happy to be back home in Australia.
‘I was unable to buy an Oz Lotto ticket while working abroad and now that I have bought this ticket I have achieved this victory. I can not believe it.
“I usually only win $17, nothing major. This is important!
‘It doesn’t sink in at all.
“I think I’m going to sit down today and process it all.”
The newly minted multi-millionaire revealed that early retirement was on the cards as he looked forward to being free from the constraints of the daily grind.
“I had plans to continue traveling for work, but this award has changed everything for me,” he said.
