An American woman living in London has caused another culture clash with her take on British street signs.

In a recent clip titled Another thing to keep in mindshe illustrated her confusion when it came to road signs she had seen in London, where she now lives.
She said: ‘One thing I found so confusing about Britain when I moved here from the US was the street signs.
“In the US, when you get to the end of an intersection, the street signs are quite high up so you can see that this street ends and this street begins.”
In a recent clip titled Something else to keep in mind, Aurora illustrated her confusion when it came to road signs she had seen in London, where she now lives.
The TikToker then pointed to a street in Kensington and explained, “But there’s no street sign here. You have to turn and look low to see the street sign.
‘So if you’re an American coming to Britain or on holiday here, make sure you don’t pay attention to the street sign.
‘Sometimes they may also be high, but that is not so clear. At least that wasn’t the case for me when I moved.’
Many of her followers agreed, with one admitting, “Roads/intersections/signage is something the US does much better than we do for drivers.
‘This applies less to pedestrians, but is always clearly indicated.’
Another claimed she had just had the same conversation with her partner, adding: ‘I literally said the same thing to my friend the other day.’
But one proud Brit took aim at her theory and said: ‘Better too than a bunch of stupid numbers. At least they’re real words!’
A history buff claimed to know the reason behind the installation of the signs, saying: ‘They removed a lot of them during the Second World War and didn’t bother to put them back up properly/sometimes didn’t put them up at all. ‘
