Skull Island: Rise of Kong is causing outrage among players thanks to low-quality footage
Skull Island: Rise of Kong is receiving serious backlash online after players encountered PS1-like quality in-game footage.
In the upcoming action-adventure game, players take on the role of King Kong as he goes on the warpath to avenge his fallen parents and kill the alpha predator Gaw. This single-player title will be available later today (October 17) for $39.99 / £34.99 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Publisher GameMill Entertainment has described Skull Island: Rise of Kong up Steam page as an “exciting third-person action-adventure game… that allows you to experience the origins of the orphan Kong as he transforms from a young Kong to the fully adult King of Skull Island.”
Unfortunately, the general consensus does not seem to reflect this positive sentiment. Many players have taken to Twitter to express their protest over the style and graphics of the upcoming game King Kong title.

Many of the tweets have poked fun at the extremely low-quality graphics that would be better suited to a PS1 game, and not something available on the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. A Twitter user laments that “King Kong deserves better than whatever this should be.”
Unfortunately, fans of the game may have to wait a long time for a good outcome King Kong game, as the last title was released 18 years ago. This was from Peter Jackson King Kong: The Official Game of the Moviewhich came out in 2005.
How well time will tell Skull Island: Rise of Kong is received or if it manages to prove the naysayers wrong. Although, if you’re currently unsure if the game is worth the high price tag, it might be a good idea to wait a while and check out some reviews first.
