Momentarily confused, Ali turns to his parents and asks, “I thought you said he was at work?”

After his mother accuses him of freaking out, Graham reminds her how strange it is that they invited his “ex-fiancée for Christmas.”

Later, while hanging up jewelry with Graham’s mother, Ali suggests that she “really should go,” but his mother insists she stay.

Meanwhile, Graham tells a relative, “I have to get Mom and Dad to dump Ali or I’ll have to share my family forever.”

During an argument with his ex, Graham tells Ali that his family will eventually “work up the courage to ask her to ‘leave before Christmas morning.’

“Do you want to bet?” she replies, to which he tells her she’s already ‘gone’.
