Rams cornerback Derion Kendrick was reportedly arrested in Los Angeles on Monday, just hours after helping the team beat the Arizona Cardinals.
According to TMZ SportsThe 23-year-old was arrested by police early Monday morning for a traffic violation. It is alleged that police found a gun and marijuana in his vehicle during the stop.
Jail records show Kendrick was arrested at 2:14 a.m. on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon. TMZ claims Kendrick remained in custody well into the afternoon.
Kendrick played college football at Clemson and Georgia before being drafted by the Ramds in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft.
He made 21 appearances for Los Angeles, including all six this season, as Sean McVay’s side won 3-3.

Kendrick was part of the Rams defense that shut down the Cardinals on Sunday, posting a 26-9 win at SoFi Stadium.
News of his arrest comes after it was announced that Los Angeles will already be without running back Kyren Williams when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Both Williams and backup running back Ronnie Rivers underwent MRIs on Monday. Williams’ examination revealed an ankle sprain that is not considered a long-term injury, while Rivers is believed to have a strained PCL that will sideline him for a few weeks, NFL Network reported.
Williams suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of Los Angeles’ win over the Arizona Cardinals.
