Shiver recently made her latest court appearance on charges of conspiring to kill Robert with the help of her Bahamian boyfriend Terrence Adrien Bethel (28) and alleged hitman Faron Newbold Jr (29).

Prosecutors allege the former cheerleader from Thomasville, Georgia, sent a photo of Robert to Newbold along with an instruction to ‘kill’ him while the one-time college football star was visiting his family vacation home in the Abaco Islands in July.

She and her co-accused will argue that police are taking their statements at face value and that there was never any intent to harm Robert – the father of Shiver’s three sons, aged four, 10 and 11 – who filed for divorce in April . his wife of deceit.

Lawyers for the trio protested when prosecutors blew a deadline to release their evidence and instead asked to delay proceedings until December.

Insiders predict that their hopes for a speedy resolution are likely to be dashed, as cases typically take three years or more to go to trial in the overburdened Bahamian legal system.

Shiver is barred from leaving Nassau as a condition of her $100,000 bail and must register her address with court officials.

‘All she wants to do is clear her name as soon as possible so she can get back to her sons. The boys also need their mother and miss her just as much.’

Shiver’s alleged murder-for-hire scheme came about when Bahamian police began investigating a burglary at Grabbers, a waterfront bar near Baker’s Bay, a luxury A-list resort where Robert’s family have a holiday home.

The thief cut power cables and disabled the generator to ensure security cameras didn’t work before looting a safe after the bar closed for the night on July 15.
