Grimes wants judge to toss Elon Musk’s parental rights lawsuit filed in Texas after claiming she and their three children no longer live in the state
Musician Grimes is now asking a Texas judge to throw out the lawsuit she brought against her billionaire ex Elon Musk over the parental rights of their three children.
In a filing from earlier this month, the Canadian singer, real name Claire Boucher, claims that she moved to California with her two children, Tau Techno Mechanicus and Exa Dark Sideræl, both one years old, ‘on or about’ December 31, 2022.
The information disputes Musk’s claims that the family lived in the same house in Texas from May to July of this year.
She claims in documents how Musk spends a lot of time on the West Coast, noting that he is there between two and three days a week.
Musk, 52, is only in Austin, Texas, about 46 percent of the time.

The Genesis singer notes that she has had ‘no ongoing, systematic or minimal contact with Texas and still does not.’
“The court’s assumption of jurisdiction in these proceedings is inappropriate because of the specific facts and circumstances of the parties to this suit, and would offend traditional notions of fair play and substantive justice,” she says.
Last month, Grimes filed a ‘petition to establish parental relationship’ in September.
The petition is a way to identify a child’s legal parents when they are unmarried.
It can be used to start proceedings for child custody orders and child support orders. While the docket for the case is public, the filings are sealed.
In a now-deleted tweet to Shivon Zilis, who gave birth to the billionaire’s twins through IVF, Grimes said: ‘Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or please up my lawyer to respond.
“I have never even been allowed to see a picture of these children until this moment, despite the situation that has completely torn my family apart.”
Zilis is an executive at Musk’s Neuralink company. She gave birth last November, according to court documents, but has not publicly said the two are romantically involved.
Grimes and Musk began dating in 2018 and share three children together. Their first-born son, named X Æ A-Xii, was born in May 2020.
Their only daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, nicknamed Y, was welcomed via surrogate in December 2021, the same year the couple split.
Last month, it emerged the former couple secretly had a third son, Techno Mechanicus. Little is known about the child, affectionately known as Y, including his exact date of birth.

Details of his arrival are included in Walter Isaacson’s biography of Musk and bring the Tesla co-founder’s brood to 10.
Earlier this month, Musk was taken along with X in tow during a meeting with Hungarian President Katalin Novák to discuss the world’s demographic crisis.
He met with the politician in Austin, Texas, after missing the biannual demographic summit in Budapest to discuss population collapse.
The entrepreneur, who fathered 11 children, took to social media platform X after the meeting to write: ‘Having children saves the world’.
Musk is a father to twins Griffin and Vivian Musk (18) and triplets Kai, Jaxon and Damian Musk (16) with his first wife Justine Wilson. The couple also had a son, Nevada, who died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome in 2000 at 10 weeks.
In addition to his children with Grimes, he shares 17-month-old twins Azure and Strider with Zilis.

Musk and Grimes raised eyebrows with the choice of their first child’s name, revealing that they had to change it from X Æ A-12 to use the Roman numeral for 12 in order to comply with California law.
Yesterday, Grimes hit back at her son X’s name again, calling it ‘the most bizarre criticism’.
Responding to a post online that questioned the choice, she said of her son: ‘He loves his name and mostly people think it’s cool. X men etc. X is popular at school lol.
“I also don’t want to say his friends’ names because they’re civilians, but most millennials have given their kids weird names — not just me.”
