Britney Spears’ estranged husband Sam Asghari DENIES he is dating while revealing he is ‘proud’ of his ex as she prepares to release tell-all memoir

Britney Spears’ estranged husband Sam Asgari has revealed he is not back on the dating scene and also said he is “proud” of the singer ahead of the release of her memoir.

The 29-year-old actor – who is only briefly mentioned in The Woman Inside Me, which comes out on October 24 – has opened up about his love life and his feelings about singer Tokic’s anticipated book.

During an outing in Beverly Hills on Thursday, he was asked if he was back into dating and admitted that he was TMZ, ‘Not. Right now I’m focused on work so, you know, that’s what I’m doing.’

The star – who filed for divorce from the performer, 41, two months earlier in August – explained that he “puts a lot of work into his stunt training…does a lot of acting”.

Asghari was also asked if he was “nervous” about Britney’s book coming out, to which he replied: “No, I’ve already read it.”

“I’m very proud of her and, you know, she put a lot of work into it, and it was very difficult so I’m definitely excited and I’m extremely proud of her,” Sam continued.

Of the singer writing the book, he declared: ‘It was difficult.’ In conclusion, he added: “I’ll be the first in line to buy it.”

On Friday, Britney’s father, Jamie, appeared to have the opposite take on the tell-all memoir.

The source said TMZ that he has no intention of reading the book, adding that he ‘doesn’t sweat what Britney has to say about him in her new book…’

The insider continued: “She’s already trashed him both in court and on social media, once saying she hopes to spend the rest of her life in prison. ‘

Back in August, Sam separately filed for divorce from Spears after just over a year of marriage. He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and is seeking spousal support from the performer, as well as coverage for his legal fees.

Due to an ‘iron prenuptial agreement’, Sam will not profit from his upcoming memoir. He is mentioned in the book, but ‘not much’, a source recently told DailyMail.com.

However, sources told TMZ that the singer made “some changes” to the memoir after their split.

In opening up about the split for the first time since news of the split went public, Britney admitted she was ‘a bit shocked’ but ‘couldn’t take the pain anymore…’

The star later expressed that she would focus on staying ‘strong’ and concluded with: ‘I’m actually doing pretty damn well too!!! Anyway have a nice day and don’t forget to smile!!!’

Asghari previously claimed that Britney got ‘physical’ with him on various occasions during their relationship. The couple first met on the set of her 2016 music video, Slumber Party.

Sam’s recent comments came just before the Baby One More Time hitmaker gave his fans some big news, revealing that Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams will be narrating the audiobook for The Woman In Me.

Spears recorded a small portion of the book and avoided narrating the chapters dealing with her family because the content was “too painful to recount,” TMZ recently published.

In the statement for People released on Friday, the artist expressed: ‘This book is a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it.’

Spears went on to say, “Going through it all was exciting, heartbreaking and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small portion of my audiobook.’

The star said at the time: ‘I’m so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest,’ and the Fabelmans actress also told the outlet in support of the singer: ‘I stand with Britney.’

Earlier this week, sources told TMZ that Britney also recorded audio of herself reading the memoir — but only a small part.

Insiders also explained that the star chose not to narrate the chapters dealing with her family ‘because she found them too painful to recount in her own words.’

Originally – published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster – it aimed to get Legally Blonde actress Reese Witherspoon to participate in the book’s audio recording. However, she was not ‘available’ to take the job.

Sources also told the entertainment tabloid that only celebrities are being sought as a potential narrator, adding that the official star chosen – now revealed to be Michelle Williams – has already finished filming.

Separate sources revealed that Page Six in an article published Friday that Britney chose Williams to narrate much of the memoir because she had “a tremendous amount of class and elegance” as well as a tumultuous family history.

“There was a mutual attraction from all sides based on Britney’s powerful narrative and what Britney went through and Michelle’s own integrity and history with her own emancipation issues,” an insider explained to the agency.

When she was 15, Williams specifically filed for emancipation from her parents to pursue her acting career.
