On this week’s edition of the Her Huddle podcast, Hannah Wilkes and Phoebe Schecter were joined by Around the NFL podcast hero Gregg Rosenthal to preview Sunday’s NFL game in London between the Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans.

It was an offseason of change in Baltimore as Todd Monken arrived from college football’s national champion Georgia to lead a new era for the Ravens’ offense. In replacing Greg Roman, he sought to install the most diverse offense yet, designed not only to preserve Lamar Jackson’s explosiveness but also to showcase his passing skills in a more expansive aerial attack.

“Lamar Jackson is different to me, I was curious what he was going to look like in this offense,” Rosenthal said on His group. “I know they (the Ravens) are 3-2 and missed two games they shouldn’t have, but as a Lamar Jackson fan, this is what I always wanted , which is a normal attack.

“It’s not just a unique, creative, hard-to-stop running play, it’s like ‘ohh, there are open receivers on the field, I haven’t seen that in the past!’

“They still have a good running game because Todd Monken coaches it, the offensive line is good and Lamar makes the running game better. But you see Odell Beckham open, Zay Flowers open, Mark Andrews open; I see Lamar more accurate and best. from the pocket.

“I know people will say ‘Lamar has always been good in the pocket,’ but guys get better as they get older, mentally he’s even better than he was four years ago and he’s playing really well.”

Derrick Henry remains the ever-familiar pain in the Tennessee offense as he goes up against a Ravens defense that has ranked second against the run through five weeks this season.

“Henry is so difficult to defeat if he can reach the second level,” Rosenthal added. “Roquan Smith on the Ravens defense has been one of the best defensive players in the league, he’s the key to it.

“They lose a lot of players but they are so well trained that it is difficult to face them.

“If he can get to the second level, he can make big plays. I would love to see him over a long period of time. It’s not just him, though. They have a rookie Tyjae Spears who went to my alma mater Tulane, he has a very good impact as a second running back.”

NFL podcast hero Dan Hanzus wondered which Mike Vrabel-led Titans team would show up in London this weekend amid their back-and-forth form that saw them overtake the Cincinnati Bengals and losing to the Indianapolis Colts in recent weeks.

“The Titans are a tough team to play against week to week, but they have playoff potential,” Hanzus said. Aerial sports this week.

“Their offense ranks at the bottom of the league in a lot of categories, but there are pieces there. They added a veteran receiver in DeAndre Hopkins who has played really well for them, Ryan Tannehill is a veteran quarterback who has proven before he can lead a team to a deep playoff run.

“King Henry (Derrick Henry) is one of the great running backs of his era, it will be tough against the Ravens defense but he has the ability to go for 150 yards.”

Marc Sessler, meanwhile, prepares to take on Jackson, the most dynamic and dangerous MVP to date, as the Ravens look to circumvent the Titans’ harsh ground blockade.

“They had a big presence against the Titans, and it starts with their quarterback play,” Sessler said. “I really think Tennessee’s strength in most games has been its run defense, and Baltimore wants to attack you with the run, but they’re much more competent through the air right now.

“This is a much more different Ravens aerial attack than we’ve seen in the past. We’re getting the best version of Lamar Jackson we’ve had in a while.”
