UK mum amazed to learn about the Pied Piper Duck Fashion Parade at the Sydney Royal Easter Show: ‘Why have you kept this a secret?’

A British woman has discovered something very unique about Australia and says it’s what the country should be famous for.

Tasha was amazed to discover that Sydney does the “duck fashion show” every year as part of the annual Easter show, where a line of birds don elaborate period costumes and parade down a runway.

The Briton said she “never wanted to go to Australia again” and said she couldn’t believe the country had kept the new incident a “secret” for so long.

She shared the discovery online sending thousands of people into hysterics, with many Australians admitting they had no idea the duck apparition existed.

“People from Sydney, Australia have been keeping a big secret from the rest of the world I feel,” Tasha said in a TikTok. Video.

Tasha, from the UK was shocked to learn that Sydney hosts an annual duck fashion show. She said she “never wanted to go to Australia again” and I can’t believe the Aussies kept that a secret

“Let me tell you, if this happened where I lived, I’d be shouting it from the rooftops every minute of the day.”

Every year as part of Sydney’s Royal Easter Show is the Pied Piper Duck Show which has been going on for over 30 years.

Organized by farmer Brian Harrington, each duck walks the catwalk three times in different outfits; a daytime toilet, evening view and wedding view.

The vintage-themed numbers are intricately stitched with embellishments, lace, bows, caps, capes and colorful patterns.

‘Why haven’t we heard about this? And yes, it’s everything you hoped for and more,” said Tasha, showing the images she found of the lively duck model parade.

‘How did you keep it so quiet? Look at the detail on that suit.’

Tasha pounced on a duck in a blue bird-colored cape and another she called a “lady in red.”

“People talking about Steve Irwin and kangaroos and stuff about Australia, that’s what you guys should be famous for,” she said.

“I’ve never wanted to go to Australia more in my life.”

Tasha’s video garnered more than 471,000 views and left people in shock after the ‘adorable’ event.

‘What the hell? I heard the other day that Melbourne has a garlic bread festival, now a duck fashion show?’ said one person.

“I’m going to need someone to put on a UK duck fashion show,” wrote a second, while a third suggested: “I need this on a Bluey episode.”

‘Love! They look like Beatrix Potter characters,” someone remarked.

‘Excuse me! I’m so upset with all my Australian friends who kept this secret from me,” one woman added.

Many compared the ducks in the fashion show to the two British geese, Abigail and Amelia, in the Disney classic The Aristocats, while others compared them to the hit TV show Bridgerton.

Even some Australians had no idea the high-flying event had happened.

‘We have a duck fashion show? Where the hell have I been?’ asked an Aussie.

“I was born and raised in Sydney and have been to the Easter show over a dozen times. I had no idea this was a thing,” said another.

“The secret is so well kept that even us Australians don’t know about it,” laughed a third.
