An Alabama couple is behind bars after being accused of burning three children under the age of 12 with a blowtorch.

Ashleigh Ableman, 27, and Howard Anderson, 53, were charged with torture/intentional abuse of children and were booked into the Dale County Jail last week.

The couple is accused of burning the three children multiple times with a blowtorch, and there are signs of additional abuse, investigators said.

A neighbor contacted Dale County Sheriff’s Office deputies about a suspicious person case, which turned into a child abuse investigation.

Dale County Sheriff’s Deputies searched the couple’s home in Ariton, Alabama and arrested Ableman and Anderson last Thursday.

‘There were clear signs of abuse on the children. Burns were severe,’ said Dale County Sheriff’s Office Chief Investigator Lieutenant Caroline Jackson. WDHN.

“The kids did make some allegations public.” Jackson added that the children had signs of other types of abuse.

Both suspects are currently being held in the Dale County Jail without bond pending their initial appearance.

Ableman is a “caregiver” and “stay-at-home mom,” according to her Facebook page, where she has been slammed by social media users for allegedly torturing her children.

“Wow, how could you,” one person wrote, reposting a link to the news of her arrest.

‘What a horrible person you are. Hope you go to jail or better yet, just go,’ said another.

Along with a photo of her and boyfriend Anderson, Ableman also posted photos of her three children and their father.

Some users also pointed out that her boyfriend shares the same surname with her children’s father – John LoneWolf Anderson.

Suspect Howard Anderson posted a photo of John LoneWolf Anderson holding a baby and wrote in 2019: ‘Never thought I’d see my nephew be such a good father.’

It is revealed in the commentary that the boyfriend, with whom Ableman allegedly tortured her children, is the uncle of the children’s father.

‘So basically Uncle Howie set his nephew’s kids on fire with you. It’s messed up,” one commented.

Ableman gave birth to her third child with John LoneWolf Anderson in 2018, according to her social media page, where she also listed her marital status as divorced.

The woman updated her profile picture in 2020 with her and Howard Anderson calling ‘family, loyalty and respect’.

In comments, one from Hartford, Alabama appeared to be shocked, with another Alabama resident replying two years ago: ‘Howie Anderson ain’t a cheater and a womanizer for nothing, I know I’ve been by him in Hartford Al beaten.’
