Nikki Haley’s campaign raised more than $11 million in quarter three as the 2024 presidential hopeful gains ground in multiple polls showing her in second place behind Trump

Nikki Haley’s campaign raised more than $11 million in the third quarter as the 2024 presidential candidate gains ground in several polls that show her in second place behind Trump

  • Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley raised more than $11 million in the third quarter of the year.
  • The amount was still dwarfed by former President Donald Trump’s fundraising, which brought in $45.5 million between July and September
  • But Haley now has more money than Florida Gov. Ron DeSandis, who raised $15 million in the third quarter

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley raised more than $11 million in the third quarter of fundraising, her campaign said Monday.

The number represents Haley’s best performance all year, coming off two strong debate performances and reaching No. 2 in a handful of recent polls in New Hampshire.

That’s still a pittance compared to the amount raised by Republican front-runner former President Donald Trump, who brought in $45.5 million from July to September, according to his campaign.

Trump continues to lead the Republican group nationally by about 45 points.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSandis – whom Haley is vying for second place among Trump’s opponents – surpassed her in the third quarter, bringing in $15 million.

DeSantis, however, is going through his campaign cash faster, keeping about $5 million, while Haley has $9.1 million to spend.

Haley’s campaign said it brought in nearly 40,000 new donors in the third quarter.

“We’ve seen a big increase in support and we’ve got real momentum,” said Haley campaign spokeswoman Olivia Perez-Cubas. “Nikki is emerging as the candidate who can move America beyond the chaos and drama of the past and present, and we have the resources to do it.”

Haley was a two-time South Carolina governor who served as Trump’s ambassador to the UN

She has come under more fire lately as she has climbed in the polls.

Late last month he nicknamed her ‘birdbrain’.

“I will never come against our great president,” he said, “he did a great job.” To which I replied, “That’s nice of you to say, Nikki,” knowing full well that her words meant nothing. She even came to Mar-a-Lago with her family, “bringing gifts.” Anyway, Birdbrain doesn’t have the TALENT or temperament to do the job. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!’ Trump uploaded to his Truth Social website.

His campaign also left a cage and bird feeder outside Haley’s hotel room.

“After a day of campaigning, this is the message waiting for me in my hotel room… #PrettyPatheticTryAgain #YouJustMadeMyCaseForMe,” she wrote on X, sharing a photo of the Trump campaign gift.

But Haley, like DeSantis before her, hasn’t gone full-on attacking Trump.

For example, during a Sunday night interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker, Haley wouldn’t go so far as to say Trump’s comments that former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley should be executed for treason put a endanger national security or cancel.

“I just think it’s irresponsible, you don’t have to say things like that,” Haley said, adding that those who serve in the U.S. military “deserve the highest respect.”
