Hugh Jackman can’t keep the smile off his face as he enjoys a boys’ night in after his shock split from wife Deborra-Lee Furness

He shocked fans last month when he announced he had split from wife Deborra-Lee Furness after 27 years of marriage.

And Hugh Jackman enjoyed some quality time with his pals afterwards as he documented his night out with pal Andrew Bimson on Sunday.

Beaming broadly, the 54-year-old actor looked in good spirits as he posed for pictures in front of a table full of meat.

Dressed casually in a navy top and shades, the Australian star sported a scruffy gray beard in the images.

He captioned the photos: ‘Sunday grazing at Bimo’s.’

The outing comes amid claims Hugh has found a shoulder to cry on amid his divorce after reportedly forming a close friendship with Australian pop star Betty Who, 31, thanks to their shared interest in theatre.

The pair met last week when Hugh visited Broadway to see Betty perform in the musical Hadestown and even posed side-by-side with the singer backstage.

Betty, who is married to photographer Zac Cassar, captioned the image of the pair beaming together: ‘MY COUNTRY!!!! (Australian flag emoji).’ Thank you for coming to see us in Hadestown and being so kind!!!!!’

In another photo, a Hugh was seen happily posing alongside Betty and her co-stars Phillip Boykin and Reeve Carney.

Speaking to Woman’s Day magazine on Monday, an insider noted that Betty and Hugh were “really good friends who hope to work together in a theater or musical show one day.”

Betty is one of several celebrities who have spent time with Hugh since his marriage broke up.

Last weekend, the Wolverine star was spotted mingling with the likes of Taylor Swift, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the New York Jets.

Meanwhile, Hugh is said to be preparing to release a new memoir following his split from Deborra-Lee.

According to US Weekly, Hugh is currently in the early stages of writing his bombshell book.

His new memoir will feature details of his life and the ‘bombshell’ revelations.

“Hugh is choosing to (write this book) now because he’s finally (being) honest with himself (and) the divorce,” an insider said.

The content will be Hugh talking about his life. He will be open about his life like never before.’

Hugh and Deborra-Lee, 67, shocked fans when they announced they were divorcing last month.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together in a wonderful and loving marriage. Our journey is now changing and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” the couple said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.

“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition.’

The former couple signed the statement as “Deb and Hugh Jackman,” adding: “This is the only statement either of us will make.”

The Australian couple share two children together; Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
