After building anticipation for her potential arrival all week, Taylor Swift didn’t show her face at Sunday afternoon’s Kansas City Chiefs-Minnesota Vikings game in Minneapolis.
It was not known if Swift would show up in Minnesota to attend her series of Chiefs games.
But after she was nowhere to be seen before kickoff in Minneapolis, NFL Network reporter Scott Hanson confirmed during Sunday’s game that the pop sensation was not present.
Thousands of fans flocked to US Bank Stadium to take in the Swift and Kelce frenzy that has engulfed the NFL in recent weeks.
TV producers for Sunday’s game also appeared to be preparing for her arrival at the game, with a photo from Kansas City Star photographer Nick Wagner showing stickers with ‘Tay’ affixed above a certain seat.

The same stickers were spotted next to Swift’s seat at Arrowhead when she watched Kelce and the Chiefs defeat the Bears last month – the first appearance she made to support Kelce.
Last week, she also made the trip to MetLife Stadium to watch the Chiefs play the New York Jets on Sunday Night Football.
With Swift in attendance, Kansas City won both games – moving to 3-1 on the season.
Despite her absence Sunday, Chiefs president denied the singer-songwriter’s association with Kelce and Kansas City could have a negative impact on the team.
Mark Donovan dismissed claims that the attention Swift brings represents a distraction for Kelce and the team, especially regarding the 34-year-old himself.
“Travis is a smart team player,” Donovan told People. ‘He can handle it and was very professional.
“Our dressing room has the maturity, leadership and respect to handle it.”
Kelce himself addressed the media on Friday, saying he accepts the added media interest surrounding himself and the pop star.
“As all the attention comes, it feels like, you know — I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl and now even more on top of the world,” he said.
“You have a lot of people who care about Taylor, and for good reason. Gotta keep living and learning and enjoying the moments.
‘We learn with the paparazzi taking pictures everywhere, but that comes with it.
‘I’ve always been pretty good at compartmentalizing and staying focused in this building. I’ll just keep rolling with it, man.
“Everybody has fun with it, whether I think they’re overdoing it or not. I know I brought it on myself and I’m lucky enough to have fun with it. All that really matters is that it doesn’t put anyone off, at least here.’
