“My recovery has been good but I’m still very emotional and I get annoyed at everything because I can’t do things.

“It’s taking a long time, I can’t believe my body created this, but I also don’t recognize myself or my body, it’s such a big adjustment.” But this is our last baby, so I’m just trying to enjoy every minute of it.

Rio, 44, also has son Cray, two, with Kate. He also has children Lorenzo, 16, Tate, 14, and Tia, 11, with his late wife Rebecca Ellison.

In the clip, she said: “It’s our last baby that we’re going to have and we wanted to have memories of this video and just to be honest, but we didn’t know it was going to go this way, honestly.”

Explaining her emotions after giving birth, she said: “He’s been in the unit for five days and I can’t send pictures of her with all the wires to anyone. I’m fine, but if I talk about it, I’ll cry because I just want her to be here right now to cuddle. Life scared me.

“I couldn’t sleep unless he was here next to me and I feel so emotional.”

They later filmed the heartbreaking moment when a nurse took Shae back to her ward and told her she could come back.

Kate cried as she cuddled her newborn in bed before her son Cree came to meet the new arrival.

She captioned the video she shared: Here’s the story of baby Shae’s birth. As you’ll see, Shae’s arrival has been a rollercoaster of emotions.

“Watch this video as Kate and Rio take you through their journey and don’t forget to pack the tissues.”

Congenital pneumonia can cause respiratory distress in the first 24 hours of life and can be caused by infection in the fetal fluid.

Elsewhere in the YouTube video, Kate was shown wiping tears from her eyes as she held her newborn daughter as she lay in a hospital bed after giving birth.

From her hospital bed, Kate said of the health scare: “I could just tell they thought something was wrong. She’s not getting the right amount of oxygen so she’s gone to the intensive care unit.’

Rio then revealed how they had to spend the first night in the hospital with the baby ‘alone’ in another ward.

He said: “You never think about the negatives, you never think about what could go wrong, you never come into hospital thinking that your first night will be your baby alone, in another ward. ‘

He added: “Kids say ‘where are the pictures?’ send pictures,’ everyone is excited, but I don’t want to send the first picture of the baby with all the wires.’

Kate previously told how she had to spend days without Shaa after she was born with congenital pneumonia.

Taking to Instagram last month, Kate wrote: “10 weeks Shae. 10 weeks of our little (bubble) getting to know my beautiful baby girl and adjusting to life with 5 kids.

“Thank you for checking me in… we are both fine although she came into this world quite a bit and gave us a scare by being born with congenital pneumonia, thankfully she recovered quickly but those first few days without my baby really worked I want to soak up every moment with her. I am totally obsessed.

“So many ups and downs, but I’m trying to get used to our new lifestyle and a little routine (sort of).

“We actually filmed part of our hospital stay, but I was a bit anxious to share it because the emotions are high. Maybe I’ll work up the courage soon.
