My fiancé broke off our engagement three weeks before the wedding – it got worse from there and the next day I ended up with an eye-patch and chipped tooth
A woman has told how she also ended up with an eye patch and a chipped tooth – after her fiance broke off their bachelorette party engagement.
Singer Maegan Soliz (maeganoliz), from Chicago was devastated after the man she was supposed to marry told her he was calling it quits just three weeks before the wedding.
“I cried my eyes out,” she told followers in a TikTok video, which now has 1.4 million views. “Well I wake up in the morning and I can’t open my eye, it hurts 10/20, so I take myself to the optometrist.
“I’m doing it with one eye the whole way because I refused to let him take me because I was still mad and when I got there they told me I had a scratched cornea.
“Like maybe my long fingernails scratching it in my sleep – so they put an eye patch in my eye.”

Maegan – who also works as a flight attendant – then decided to grab some takeaway.
“So I’m driving home, I just parted with an eye patch and I’m like you know what I’ve been dieting to get into this dress — I’ll eat whatever I want.”
She stopped on the move to pick up her ‘favourite crispy onion rings’ – but ended up with a ‘very visible’ chipped tooth after just one bite.
The influencer, who has more than 6,000 followers on the platform, added: “I’m pretty sure that was the start of my villain era, if you know what I’m saying.”
Captioning the video from earlier this month, she also revealed that ‘the craziest thing is that they’re on good terms’ and that there are no ‘hard feelings’.
The clip, which has nearly 125,000 likes, had people in stitches as they expressed their sympathies.

It comes after a groom’s cruel prank on his bride during their wedding vows has sparked a firestorm of criticism, with one person branding the ‘prank’ a ‘public humiliation’.
Life coach Shawnda, from Atlanta, Georgia, recently uploaded a video of an unidentified couple standing together at the altar when the man appeared to be trying to play a prank on his wife-to-be before it went horribly wrong bad.
In the video, the groom was told it was time for him to read his vows, and he explained that he had written them down on a piece of paper.
He then took a note out of his suit pocket and unfolded it as his bride looked on adoringly, her excitement to hear what it meant written plainly all over her face.
But when she discovers that the letter actually has the words “help me” emblazoned in large letters on the back, she seems completely mortified.
He acted as if he was preparing to read his vows from the paper and held out his message to the crowd.
Several people in the audience burst out laughing – including the person recording – as they read the sign, while the rest sat in awkward silence.
The bride’s expression immediately turned from loving to furious. She hit the groom’s arms with her bouquet of flowers, as he told her: “I’m kidding, it’s a joke.”
“It’s not funny,” she began to reply before the video cut off.
Shawnda explained that she has “no respect” for the “type of man” who would “humiliate” his bride on her special day to try to get “cheap laughs.”
