Riverwood: Two bodies were discovered at a house in Sydney’s west as detectives combed the property

The bodies of a man and a woman have been discovered at a property, sparking a police investigation.

Officers were called to a house on Union Street in Riverwood in Sydney’s south about 2pm on Sunday.

They first found the body of a man inside a truck that was parked on the street.

A woman’s body was later found inside the single-storey house.

Both are believed to be in their seventies.

A crime scene has been established and investigations are underway.

St George’s detectives are leading the investigation and are being assisted by the State Crime Squad’s Homicide Squad.

A police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia that detectives were investigating whether the incident was related to domestic violence.

There are no other suspects.

Union Street was cordoned off between Coleridge Street and Pennsylvania Road during the investigation Sunday afternoon.
