A man’s body has been found washed up on Sydney’s northern beaches.

He was found on the rocks in Freshwater, off a cliffside walking path on Lumsdaine Dr, about 10.20am on Saturday.

“Officers attached to the Northern Beaches Police Area Command were called… to reports that a body had been seen in the surf,” a New South Wales Police spokesman said.

“He has not yet been officially identified, but is believed to be in his 60s.

‘Investigations are ongoing.’

Freshwater is a suburb of Sydney’s Northern Beaches region, approximately 17 km northwest of Sydney’s CBD.
