Sarah Jessica Parker pays homage to Carrie Bradshaw in mismatched shoes at NYC gala… 23 years after the fashion icon rocked the look in SATC
As usual, Sarah Jessica Parker made Carrie Bradshaw shine with her fashion sense as she stepped out on Thursday.
The Sex And The City frontwoman, 58, attended the New York City Ballet’s Fall 2023 Gala with her husband Matthew Broderick, where she wore a ballerina-inspired ensemble with a statement bow in her long blonde hair.
While the black dress and stunning ensemble certainly turned heads, attention was drawn to Sarah’s feet as she opted to wear mismatched shoes, consisting of a pink-hued mule and a contrasting black number with jeweled brooches.
The intentionally mismatched pair is a not-so-subtle tribute to a fun shoe moment from SATC when fans first saw the actress rocking contrasting shoes while playing Carrie on the hit HBO show, which ran from 1998 to 2004.
In the episode Escape From New York, which originally aired on season three, episode 13 in September 2000, Carrie steps out in a hot pink sandal and a blue sandal, both by Christian Louboutin, for a night out with the girls.
