Shoppers are obsessed with Woolworths’ new toy range that has just hit stores – with prices starting from just $5.

The supermarket giant has launched brand new additions to its popular Big Box toy range, just as parents start thinking about Christmas.

Many Aussies have already gotten their hands on several ‘mini supermarket’ sets, including a Deluxe Checkout ($35) with toy fruit and a small cash register.

Parents can also purchase a fully functional mini trolley ($30) and a container cart ($5).

The play items are intended to mirror the shopping experience for children and prepare them for adult life, much like racing games.

‘These are the best! Our girl loves shopping with her! I definitely need to get the envirobags,” said another.

“My little boys love Woolworths,” one dad wrote. ‘We already bought the cash register on Marktplaats, but he would love that truck!’

Another added: ‘I wish I had someone to buy these for, they are so cute.’

‘Great Christmas presents for the little ones, can’t wait to go to Woolies this weekend!’ wrote one woman.

A Woolworths spokesperson told FEMAIL: ‘We are excited to introduce our new Big Box toy range for all fresh food kids-to-be, including toys such as a mini supermarket and a trolley.

This new range comes just as parents are looking for great Christmas gifts that will stimulate creativity and imagination.

A new highlight for this year is our chicken rotisserie oven. We know hot roast chooks are a favorite with our customers and now their minis can pretend they’re making them at home.”
