Trevor Bauer’s accuser Lindsey Hill responds to former MLB pitcher’s bombshell text and video claims

Lindsey Hill, who previously accused Trevor Bauer of sexual assault, has responded to the pitcher’s video on social media in which he shared text messages and a video intended to prove his innocence in response to her accusations.

Both individuals settled their dual lawsuits this week without any compensation, two years after Hill’s allegations against the 2020 NIL Cy Young Award winner came to light.

The legal resolution between the two allowed Bauer to comment on the case, prompting him to release his version of events in a video shared on X on Monday.

An alleged text message sent by Hill to a friend that Bauer revealed to the public reads: “Next victim. Star pitcher for the Dodgers.”

Although Hill acknowledged that “victim” was not the right choice of word, she claimed that she used it in a way where she was joking, especially because of her history of dating baseball players. What’s more is that Hill says she’s being spun by Bauer without any context given to outside people.

“This was exactly what Trevor wanted to do: randomly pick three or four lines and turn them into a story where I just look terrible,” she said on “Prime Time with Alex Stein.”

“I explained that in my statement and random things. I like to joke, I am very sarcastic, sometimes inappropriate. Anyone who knows me would know that.

“These are just private text messages with my friends and it’s not the word ‘victim’ here, but (in) my past I have been involved with other baseball players, that was my world at the time and I had already dated baseball players and it was a funny, sarcastic way of saying, “Here’s the next one I’m going to try to get the attention of,” and it was a lot of ego and attention-seeking behavior, which is what I can own and what he can have. what I cannot do is own any part.

‘I can fully endorse the attention-seeking behavior, but these texts in the grand scheme of things do not address what happened at all. This was before our interactions or anything like that.”

Bauer also shared a video following the alleged sexual assault incident in 2021, in which Hill laughs without apparently suffering any bruises.

However, Hill claims to have been going through a whirlwind of emotions at the time and that she recorded the video to send to her cousin to show that everything was fine.

She even went so far as to say she wasn’t sure she would ever be able to say anything about the alleged encounter, adding that the lack of bruises on her body has to do with the timing of the video. It usually takes several days for bruises to appear.

“Any normal person can see that bruises take time,” Hill said. She also claimed to be in possession of selfies from that time that clearly indicate physical injuries.

Bauer’s attorneys have not yet commented on Hill’s comments.

“Especially this past year, I’ve been completely crumbled and my soul has been crushed by lawsuits and all this kind of stuff, and I just made the decision that nothing is worth the public vindication or anything like that (compared to) what I was going through and feeling at this moment.

“I just had to make the decision that my mental health and my healing are more important to me than making everything public and bringing the truth to the situation.”

Bauer was given a 342-game suspension by MLB after the allegations came to light — the longest punishment ever handed out for a violation of the league’s domestic violence policy.

The pitcher even said in his video, “I never sexually assaulted Lindsey Hill.”
