Shall I unleash Commander on YOU? Karine Jean-Pierre asks press if they want to meet Biden’s banished German Shepherd as she refuses to say where he’s been sent after 12 biting incidents

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre pointedly asked reporters whether she should bring the president’s dog to the briefing room after being pressed about a series of biting incidents involving the animal.

She asked a series of questions about the president’s German shepherd, Commander, who she confirmed was no longer on White House grounds after reports of injured Secret Service agents and officials fearing contact with the animal.

“Do you want me to take the dog to the briefing room? That would be fun,” she joked, after a reporter suggested she bring in the commander to answer questions about some of her own distractions. This came after Jean-Pierre scrupulously adhered to an official statement and, when asked, could not answer where the dog currently lives.

“Is that safe?” shouted one writer when asked if he would share the room with the now banished animal.
