Kim Kardashian, 42, reveals secret struggle with adult ACNE in her forties which she conceals ‘really well’ under heavy makeup as she plugs SKKN

Kim Kardashian revealed a secret about her skin in an interview Refinery29 on Wednesday.

The reality TV star, 42, opened up about struggling with adult acne, saying most people don’t notice it because she hides it “really well under makeup.”

“Oh, I’m having acne, like I’m having it,” revealed the entrepreneur – who recently admitted she was ‘struggling’ as a single mother following her split from her ex-husband, Kanye West.

“But I documented it,” she said. “I think if people saw it, they would be really shocked to know that I had that experience.”

To deal with her acne, she said she started playing with different products and even incorporated ingredients she liked into her luxury skincare brand, SKKN by Kim.

The SKIMS founder said this journey was something she “never thought I would experience in my 40s.”

The Kardashians star also revealed that her skin has become more sensitive over the years and she has worked very hard to determine the cause of her acne.

‘I’m thinking, “Should I stop using oils if I have acne?” That’s when she realized, no, quitting oil didn’t help,” she recalls as she tried to find the products that worked for her skin type.

“It could be hormonal or a change in supplements,” she also said. “Every time I change the way I eat or try different foods, I think my skin has become very sensitive.”

“It’s been really interesting to try new products and find out what works for different skin types that I never thought I would experience in my 40s.”

In addition to dealing with adult acne, Kardashian also struggles with chronic psoriasis — something she’s spoken about in the past.

“I would like to thank my mother for this matter,” she told the outlet. “I’m the only one of her children who has it.”

Speaking about the frustrating process of looking for a solution to clear up the chronic rash, she said she still doesn’t know why it occurs and has given up on “trying to sort of figure it out.”

“I’m still very confused about my psoriasis and what causes it,” she explained.

“Sometimes I’m completely stressed out and completely clear-headed about my psoriasis,” she continued.

“Sometimes I’m as zen as can be, not a worry in the world, and my psoriasis will completely flare up,” she added. ‘They say it should be just the opposite.

“I’ve kind of given up trying to figure it out.”
