But the news will come as a huge blow for Ange Postecoglou after Tottenham’s fantastic start to the 2023/2024 season.

The 24-year-old was involved in Tottenham’s 2-1 win against Liverpool on Saturday, playing 22 minutes in place of Son Heung-min.

He joins a growing list of injuries at the north London club, including new signings Brennan Johnson and Rodrigo Bentancur.

Ivan Perisic has also been out for some time due to a knee ligament injury, while Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso are both sidelined with hamstring problems.

Solomon also suffered a knee injury last season while the former Shakhtar winger was on loan at Fulham.

The setback came during a behind-closed-doors match and required surgery, ruling the Israel international out for the first three months of the 2022/2023 season.

He returned to play for Marco Silva’s side after the World Cup in Qatar and went on to make 24 appearances for the Cottagers last season, before moving to Spurs.
