Daring Duchess! Sophie wears a cool leather skirt and knee-high boots before donning a lab coat during a visit to Brooklands Museum

The Duchess of Edinburgh once again showed off her fashion talent today in a stylish leather skirt and knee-high boots.

Sophie, 58, embraced autumn dressing and teamed her statement shoes with a white floral blouse as she arrived at Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, Surrey.

Looking effortlessly chic, Prince Edward’s wife opted to stay warm with a matching long-sleeved leather jacket.

She was visiting the Brooklands Innovation Academy 2023 event, which brings students aged 11 to 18 into contact with scientists, engineers and mathematicians from leading companies.

While touring the program – which is in its second year – Sophie ended up covering her fashionable ensemble with a lab coat.

Her hair was tied in a bun and she accentuated her facial features with a touch of glamorous makeup.

The event is part of the National Science Summer School programme, co-founded by Professor Brian Cox, Lord Andrew Mawson OBE and Well North Enterprises, according to the programme’s website.

Professor Cox will host the main event at Brooklands Museum, which will be attended by 400 secondary school students.

It’s already been a busy week for the Duchess of Edinburgh, who petted ponies and met children and NSPCC volunteers during a trip to Nottingham yesterday.

Sophie opted for a navy blue wool coat, black leather trousers and brown suede boots as she congratulated the winners of the Shetland Pony Grand National.
