I came up with the seven-word phrase that means your boyfriend is cheating on you

A woman has uttered the only sentence she believes indicates a man’s guilt after he was accused of cheating.

Mariah Fernando caused quite a stir after she said that any man who uses the phrase “Go ahead and believe what you want” in a discussion about whether or not he’s cheating is probably lying.

Many agreed that the verdict was ‘manipulative’ and implied a guilty conscience.

However, others suggested that innocent men say this when they are “tired” of being wrongly accused of infidelity.

β€œIf you confront your man for cheating and he says, ‘Go ahead and believe whatever you want,’ I hate to break it to you, ladies, but that man is guilty. He is guilty,” the 23-year-old said in a viral post video.

The clip has been viewed more than two million times, dividing thousands of men and women in the comments section.

Many women agreed and supported Mariah’s theory with their own stories.

‘Correct. I remember hearing this. Never let a man turn you into Sherlock. It’s not worth it,” one woman said.

“This is 100 percent proven to be true,” a second agreed, and a third wrote, “It’s true, they don’t know what to say because they’ve been caught.”

β€œI agree because if he was innocent he would aggressively defend himself,” someone else added.

Others were outraged by Mariah’s pointed opinion, arguing that “believe what you want” is far from an admission of guilt.

β€œIt doesn’t mean he’s cheating. It could mean he won’t get into a pointless fight with an insecure, childish person,” one person wrote.

‘Get proof before you ever accuse someone of cheating! One comment (as) proof is the most moronic thing ever!’ shouted a second.

β€œI do this, but not because I’m guilty (but because) I don’t have the energy to argue,” one man explained.

One commenter said the phrase did not mean a man was guilty of cheating, but probably nonetheless meant the relationship was over.

β€œIf you are insecure and don’t trust him, you shouldn’t be together,” they said.
